Friday Sermon – Khalifatul Masih V – Mirza Masroor Ahmad – Year 2019

Peace and blessings of Allah be upon you. Recitation of the Holy Qur’an, Dr. Aimen Odeh sahib. I seek refuge with Allah, from Satan the accursed. In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful. [Arabic, Holy Qur’an, 23:1-12] Saeed Ahmad Jatt sahib, urdu translation. Peace be upon you all.

The verses recited before you were of Surah Al-Mu’minun, verses 1-12. Translated by Hazrat Khalifatul Masih IV (rh), is now presented. In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful. ‘Surely, success does come to the believers, Who are humble in their Prayers,

‘And who shun all that which is vain, And who are active in paying the Zakat, ‘And who guard their chastity Except from their wives or what their right hands possess, ‘for then they are not to be blamed; But those who seek anything beyond that are the transgressors

‘And who are watchful of their trusts and their covenants, ‘And who are strict in the observance of their Prayers. These are the heirs, ‘Who will inherit Paradise. They will abide therein.’ Hammad Abbasi sahib, Poem. Peace be upon you all. Selected verses by the Promised Messiah (as).

Lo! How manifest is the Light of God, Who is the ultimate Source of all light, The whole universe is turning into a reflecting mirror for the eyes to perceive Him, Last night while watching the moon, I became so agitated,

In the beauty of the moon were the traces of the beauty of my Beloved. Under the influence of that consummate Beauty; my heart is in a state of turmoil; Pray! Mention not to me the Turk or the Tatar,

What show of Thy splendour is all around, My Dear, Wherever we look, that way leads to Thy View! Thy grandeur is witnessed in the light of the sun, Thy dazzle is displayed in every star. What strange traits hast Thou placed in every atom! Who can unravel such immensity of secrets?

No one can ascertain the limits of Thy might; Who can find solution to this perplexing enigma? The drunken eye of each belle reveals Thee always; To Thee points the hand of every curling lock. Thy charming looks, O Dear, are a sharpened sword That cut off the entire concern for the strangers.

To meet with Thee, we have debased ourselves So, that it may help cure this pain of separation. Lo! How manifest is the Light of God, Who is the ultimate Source of all light, The whole universe is turning into a reflecting mirror for the eyes to perceive Him, Osman Ahmad sahib, national secretary Taleem.

Someone should be nominated to raise slogans, it should not be open for everyone. Peace be upon you all, In the name of Allah, the Gracious, ever Merciful. Beloved Huzoor, I would humbly like to present the names of those who have excelled in their educational field.

I now humbly request Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (aba) to present these individuals with awards. May the peace and mercy of Allah be upon you. Firstly, tell me how many members of Jama’at Holland are sat here? Raise your hands!

There are more people who have come from outside but they also have a desire to raise slogans. Thus, let the members of the Holland Jama’at raise the slogans. The rest of them are probably sitting outside. I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah.

He is alone and has no partner. and I bear witness that Muhammad (saw) is His Servant and Messenger. After this I seek refuge with Allah from Satan the accursed. In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful. All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds. The Gracious, the Merciful,

Master of the Day of Judgment. Thee alone do we worship and Thee alone do we implore for help. Guide us in the right path – The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings, those who have not incurred displeasure, and those who have not gone astray. [Arabic, Holy Quran, 9:v32]

“They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths; “but Allah will permit nothing except that He will perfect His light, though the disbelievers may dislike it.” Since the claim of the Promised Messiah (as) is that he was sent by Allah the Exalted

In accordance with the prophecy of the Holy Prophet (saw) to revive Islam in this age and that Allah the Exalted had entrusted upon him the task of propagating the Faith of the Holy Prophet (saw) in the world, while being under his subservience,

Then it was incumbent that Allah the Exalted also showed His continuous help and succour to him. Allah the Exalted indeed manifested this and the Promised Messiah (as) was also given an assurance to this effect at numerous occasions due to the blessings of his Master, Muhammad, the Holy Messenger of Allah (saw).

In fact, he was given this assurance even as early as 1882 when he had made the claims of being the Messiah and Mahdi. This happened later on numerous occasions and this verse continued to be revealed to him until 1902. At that time, when anti-Islam forces were bent upon destroying Islam,

He claimed that God Almighty had told him that no matter how hard the enemies strive, the continuous progress and advancement of Islam had been decreed by Allah the Exalted. This promise of Allah the Exalted to the Holy Prophet (saw) continues to this day and shall be fulfilled with all its glory

Like it happened during the time of the Holy Prophet (saw). The Promised Messiah (as) stated that he was that Messiah and Mahdi through whom this progress was to take place. Expounding upon this, the Promised Messiah (as) stated on one occasion, “These people foolishly utter that this faith will never be successful

“and will be destroyed at their hands. “However, God shall never let this religion be wasted and shall never forsake it until He has fulfilled [His promise].” The Promised Messiah (as) further states, “These evil disbelievers desire to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths

“but Allah shall perfect His light and let the disbelievers dislike it.” He states, “What is meant by the breath of their mouths? “It is in fact what they utter from their tongues; “some claim I am being deceiver or I does this for merely my personal interest,

“some refer to me as a disbeliever or faithless. “In short, these people desire to extinguish the light of Allah through such words “but they shall not be successful. “While attempting to extinguish the light of Allah, they burn themselves and are disgraced.” Anti-Islam forces were at work in any case but,

As is also apparent from the words of the Promised Messiah (as), that unfortunately even those people who call themselves Muslims, and in fact many of them refer to themselves as scholars, they started to oppose him and continue to do so. However, their oppositions will come to no avail,

Just as the oppositions in the previous era came to no avail. In other words, even during the period of a thousand years of darkness, the opponents were unable to harm Islam and Islam remained protected by the grace of Allah

And the Holy Qur’an remained in its original form by the grace of Allah the Exalted. Similarly, it [Islam] will continue to remain established now as well, just as the Promised Messiah (as) was promised by Allah the Exalted that in his age, faith and Islam would be revived through him.

Now, the beautiful teachings of Islam will be manifested to the world through the Promised Messiah (as) alone and they are in fact being manifested. The efforts of these so called scholars or opponents to hinder the task, which Allah the Exalted desires to complete, cannot succeed.

How can these so-called scholars possess the power to prevent? or hinder the word of Allah the Exalted? Hence, this promise of Allah the Exalted to the Promised Messiah (as) remains even today. Allah the Exalted will support him against those, who are fighting a war against Islam

And Allah the Exalted will also support the Promised Messiah (as) against those, who trying to create hindrances in the completion of the mission of the Promised Messiah (as) and are issuing edicts against him. The Promised Messiah (as) states that imprudent and ignorant people have not cherished this dispensation of God the Exalted.

Rather, they make endeavours for this light not to shine and they try to conceal it. However, they should remember that God the Exalted has vouchsafed the following promise: “but Allah will perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate it” The Promised Messiah (as) further states that in this verse,

It has vividly been made clear that the Promised Messiah would be born in the fourteenth century, as the fourteenth night has been chosen for the perfection of light. That is, when the moon glows in its full glory and is in fact a complete moon, i.e. on the fourteenth night.

Therefore, the Promised Messiah (as) has stated that the fourteenth century had been destined for the advent of the Messiah. Hence, those fortunate people who understand this subtle point, continue to pledge initiation to the Promised Messiah (as) by the grace of Allah the Exalted. Mentioning the signs of the advent of the Promised Messiah,

The Promised Messiah (as) states, that twenty years of this century have almost passed – the Promised Messiah (saw) stated this in 1903 and now, approximately 116 years have passed since he did so and the Promised Messiah (as) stated that “this is the end of time.

“It was the fourteenth century, regarding which every recipient of revelation had said “that the Promised Messiah would appear in the fourteenth century. “Furthermore, all indications and signs, which had been foretold in relation to the advent “of the Promised Messiah, have been manifested.

“The heaven has borne witness through the eclipse of the moon and the sun “and the earth has borne witness through the plague and many fortunate people “have accepted me as a result of witnessing these signs. “Furthermore, God the Exalted has manifested many other signs in order to increase their power of faith.”

Subsequently, the Jama’at is increasing day by day. He (as) states that if there was only one sign then it could have caused one to doubt. However, here, Allah the Exalted has shown them sign after sign and every path of reassurance and contentment. However, only a few people of understanding emerged.

The Promised Messiah (as) states that “I am perplexed why those who reject me “do not cast their eyes on the needs of the time that are currently calling for a reformer.” The Promised Messiah (as) has repeatedly stated that “I have been sent in order

“to re-establish the lost honour of the Holy Prophet (saw) and to demonstrate to the world the truths of the Holy Qur’an. “All of this is taking place. “However, those who have covers over their eyes, are unable to see this. “Even though this dispensation has now become as bright as the sun and

“such an abundance of people have witnessed these signs “that if they were to be gathered in one place, they would be so numerous that no king on this earth would have an army as large as this.” The Promised Messiah (as) states that “there are so many facets to the truth of this dispensation

“that it is not an easy task to mention them all. “As Islam was ridiculed severely, Allah the Exalted manifested the grandeur of this dispensation in contrast to this very ridicule.” However, those whose minds are enveloped in covers and who have covers over their eyes,

As the Promised Messiah (as) has stated that they neither understand, nor do they see. One of the main reasons for this is that if they were to believe then the vested interests of the so-called scholars would be affected by this. They fear that if they accept the Promised Messiah (as),

Their means of income will cease and their secrets will be exposed as they have established a following by misinterpreting religion to the people. Therefore, they continuously incite in new ways. At times, in the name of Khatm-e-Nubuwwat [finality of prophethood], in the sense that, God forbid, Ahmadis do not believe the Holy Prophet (saw)

To be Khatam-un-Nabiyyeen [Seal of the Prophets] and at times through other means. Whereas, Ahmadis have the most conviction and faith in the fact that the Holy Prophet (saw) is Khatam-un-Nabiyyeen and that no other law-bearing prophet can appear after him. Mentioning the importance of entering the fold of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community,

The Promised Messiah (as) states: “Those who say: ‘We offer prayers and observe fasting. ‘ herefore, we do not feel the need [to join the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community]’ or some state: ‘We offer prayers and observe fasting then what difference ‘does it make whether we join the Jama’at or not?

‘Or whether or not we pledge allegiance to the Promised Messiah (as)?’” The Promised Messiah (as) states: “They are ignorant “and do not know that all such actions they perform are lifeless. “Their actions do not carry any spirit or life, and this cannot happen “until they attach themselves to the Movement established by God

“and obtain its life-giving water. “Where is righteousness to be found? “To merely claim in a customary fashion that one is a believer does not benefit a person “unless one witnesses God and there is no other way to attain that but this.”

Therefore, in this day and age, one can find the path that leads to God Almighty only by staying attached to the Promised Messiah (as). I will share a few incidents that illustrate how Allah the Almighty guided and showed faith- inspiring signs to those who entered the Community of the Promised Messiah (as)

And how He caused the opponents to fail miserably. Before that, first, I will share another excerpt. The Promised Messiah (as) states: “Only those individuals come to me who are sincere at heart “and they have reverence for the righteous. “The good-natured will detect the scent of truthfulness that accompanies me.

“The allurement that God Almighty bestows upon His appointment draws them towards me. “This [phenomenon] is similar to a magnet attracting metal. “However, those who are devoid of good conduct and possess lifeless dispositions, “my guidance does not provide any benefit to them and they fall into a trial.

“Such persons’ reject and oppose [the truth] “again and again and ruin their hereafter as a result. “They do not care for their fate, even a little.” The Promised Messiah (as) states: “What benefit will my opponents attain by their actions? “Have the adversaries of the truthful people ever attained any benefit before?

“If they leave this world in a state of disappointment and loss, “then my opponents should fear [that end] because I swear by God that I am truthful “and rejecting me will not result in a favourable outcome. “Blessed are those who safeguard themselves from the curse of disbelief

“and remain anxious of their faith, who give [others] the benefit of the doubt “and attain advantage from the company of those commissioned by God. “Their faith saves them from decaying, and it grants them success. “Let me inform you there are not a lot of obstacles in identifying a truthful person.

“If every individual does not relinquish justice and wisdom and scrutinizes the truthful one “while fearing God, then such a person shall be saved from committing an error. “But, a person who is arrogant and refutes the signs of Allah “and makes a jest of it will not attain this treasure.”

Thus, Fortunate are the ones who take the oath of allegiance and enter the Community of the Promised Messiah (as). Then they also record their experiences about how Allah Almighty guided them. As I stated earlier, I will now present a few incidents. Allah Almighty guides people to fulfil His promise:

“They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with the breath of their mouths, “but Allah will perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate it.” (Holy Qur’an-61:9) In this regard, Muhammad Konay sahib from Mali says that he heard the Jama’at’s Radio

[programmes] and he also listened to what people had to say against the Jama’at. Then he began praying to Allah the Almighty to show him the right path after which he saw a saintly person in his dream who said: “Every individual will accept Ahmadiyyat, whether they do it now or later.”

Hence, he took the Oath of Allegiance and by the Grace of Allah, he is a very active worker. Similarly, there is an 80 year old person whose name is Uthman Fanay sahib. He is from Kassala, another region of Mali. He states that he was a practising Muslim before

But left Islam after observing the conduct of the clerics. (A person who was previously Muslim left Islam because of third behaviour and became an idolater, therefore how are these clerics going to invite others to Islam?). He left the city and began worshipping idols and constructed a house from wood.

After a few days, he saw in a dream that a person dressed in very simple clothes was delivering a speech about the advent of Imam Mahdi (as). After seeing this dream, he began listening to the Jama’at Radio, and he fell in love with Islam once again. During this entire process,

A madman destroyed the house he had created for worshipping idols. He states: “When that house was obliterated I remembered my dream in which the advent “of Imam Mahdi was mentioned. “I said to myself that the house that I had constructed for worshipping idols

“had been destroyed. This, in itself, is a sign from God.” He was a wise person so he states: “I heard about Ahmadiyyat, the True Islam. “So I began studying it then accepted it later on.” He took the pledge of allegiance and began offering financial sacrifices regularly.

So Allah Almighty arranged a good end for this virtuous old man who lives in a remote area by guiding him [towards Islam] and bringing him back to the belief of Oneness of God. The missionary from the Bondoukou region of Ivory Coast writes:

“Mega Ameena Sahiba, the Sadr Lajna of this city, is a pious woman. “Her husband was not only a non-Ahmadi Muslim; rather, “he was a staunch opponent of the Jama’at as well. “On the one hand, he would oppose the Jama’at, but on the other, he would also state that his

“wife’s conduct had become excellent towards him after entering the Jama’at.” He states: “Sadr Sahiba started praying a lot that Allah changes her husband’s heart, “and she also asked me to propagate the message to her husband.” This lady is also the Sadr of that Jama’at.

So Allah Almighty desired to guide him as a reward for something good that she had done [in the past]. Her husband states: “One day I saw in a dream that my wife and I embarked on a journey. “We had travelled a short distance and reached a police checkpoint

“where we are asked to provide our documents. “My wife had her documents, but I did not, there they detained me and allowed her to go on. “After this dream, I began pondering and researching about Ahmadiyyat.” He states: “I then saw another dream after I had decided to join the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

“I saw that as I returned to my house from the fields, my room was closed “but the missionary was present there and he was rearranging its interior. “After a while, he left my room and handed me the key. “He then said: ‘Now that you are starting a new and pure life, therefore,

‘it was necessary to change everything.'” He states: “Upon opening the door I saw that almost everything was new and clean. “The room was brimming with divine light. “That same day I made a firm decision to join the Jama’at. “Afterwards, I took the oath of allegiance as well.”

Thus, at first he only had the intention to pledge allegiance, but later on, he actually did it. By the Grace of Allah, he is a very sincere and active Ahmadi. A Mu’alim from Tanzania states: “Safeera Sahiba is a pious woman who belongs to one of the local families.

“Her father passed away in her childhood so her mother married for the second time. “Her stepfather would make liquor and sell it. “Safeera Sahiba used to assist him in this work. “Later on, she had some share of ownership in this liquor store.

“One day she walked by a bookstall set up by the Jama’at where she saw some Jama’at books and “asked a few questions and enquired about Jama’at-e-Ahmadiyya. “After her questions were answered, she stated: ‘If this is Islam then I have deviated far away from it. ‘I wish to enter the fold of Islam Ahmadiyyat.’

“She was provided with a Bai’at form so that she could go home and ponder over it. “After studying the Bai’at form, she handed over all the equipment used to make liquor to her “father and informed him: ‘Now I have nothing to do with this work. ‘You should take everything.

‘I wish to enter the true Islam’.” This is how she did the Bai’at and entered the Jama’at. Thereafter, she began to earn a living through other means. The missionary from Senegal writes: “Tabogari is a village located in Senegal. “When a woman named Maymuna heard the message of Ahmadiyyat on a radio programme,

“she asked around for the Mission House address and arrived there She stated: ‘I wish to accept Ahmadiyyat. ‘My husband is not happy with my decision, and he does not want to accept Ahmadiyyat; ‘however, I am certain that Ahmadiyyat is the true Islam, ‘so I enter this Community with all my children.’

“She also promised to offer monetary contributions and on behalf of her children also every month. “Hence, from the day she joined the Community, “she has been offering monetary donations every month “for her family without anyone demanding it from her. “She contributes a lot more than her current financial situation.”

The missionary from Benin writes: “One of the families from the Tigniti area accepted Ahmadiyyat. “The details of this are that this year the message of Ahmadiyyat reached Tigniti “and we kept in touch with them. “We informed them about the advent of the Promised Messiah (as) and

“about the Holy Prophet (saw) being the Messenger of Allah. “After hearing everything, the head of this household stated that “he was ready to accept the beliefs of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and “every member of his family was also ready to join the Community.

“Furthermore, he sent his two sons to the mission house to study the Holy Qur’an.” The missionary further states: “Now in less than a year, his eldest son, whose name is Ameedu “can recite the Holy Qur’an and can lead five daily prayers and the Friday prayers as well.

“He has also joined the Nizam-e-Wasiyyat and is offering monetary donations regularly.” He also listens to my Friday sermons and desires to join Jamia Ahmadiyya to serve the Jama’at. Such spiritual transformation can be found in those who are joining the Community. Who is bringing about this change in them?

This is all the work of God, and no human being can accomplish this. The Missionary In-Charge of Mexico writes that, “a lady, Arma Sahiba, “was introduced to the Jama’at after witnessing a book stall. “She was very happy to see the stall by the Jama’at and said that after a very long time

“she decided to set foot outside of her home since the demise of her mother, “whilst praying that may Allah the Almighty bestow His blessings upon her. “She told them that this is why she visited their book stall. “She then started to attend some of the Jama’at functions and later joined

“the Jama’at after two months. “Whenever she attends the mosque she makes it a habit of contributing some amount into charity. “She also purchased the Holy Qur’an before her Bai’at and she kept this Qur’an “always with her as she recites it whenever she has the opportunity.

“She has fallen so deeply in love with the Holy Qur’an that it is her belief “that the Qur’an is her personal treasure. “Whenever she feels that the discussion at an event has gone off topic into worldly matters, “it is then that she secludes herself from it by reading the Qur’an.

The missionary writes that, “I realised her love and affection for the Qur’an “when I witnessed an incident where the lady attended the Friday sermon “whilst in possession of her Holy Qur’an as she usually does. “On her way back home she realised that she had left her Qur’an on the book shelf.

“Upon remembering, she returned back “and tried to call the local missionary and also left a few messages. “However, the local missionary did not return the calls “and nor did he read the messages at the time. “About an hour had passed and when the missionary eventually did read the messages

“he quickly went to open the door of the mosque and saw the lady standing in the intense heat “at the door of the mosque waiting for the missionary. “She said, ‘I am sorry to trouble you at such a time, ‘however it is impossible for me to return home without my Qur’an.

‘It is very difficult for me to keep going without having recited the Qur’an.’” By The Grace of Allah, the Almighty, the Jama’at is now being blessed with the inclusion of such devout women, and this is in fact is a lesson for all the women of the Jama’at.

The missionary of Benin Byoko Region writes that once after he finished preaching on the radio station, he received a telephone call of a man by the name of Ajofo Augstan. He said, “I have been following the preaching efforts of the Jama’at for a considerable

“amount of time and therefore I would like to meet you.” The Missionary further writes, “I went to meet him at his home. “He had prepared some questions for which I provided satisfactory answers, “hence he decided to do Bai’at at that very moment and entered the fold of Ahmadiyyat”.

He further writes, “I then provided him with some literature and after reading these “books, the gentleman informed me on our next meeting that the truth of the Jama’at “was even more clear to him now, therefore he would like to include in his will

“that he shall donate the land in front of his home which “is also my property for the purpose of Jamaat Ahmadiyya “The Jama’at can utilise this land in whatever way they deemed fit. “Hence, he continued to strive in dedication and loyalty once taking the Bai’at.” Liberia is another country of Africa.

The missionary stationed there writes: “We made a plan to travel to Waarfleg for the sake of preaching the message of Islam. “The locals of that village listened to our message very carefully and “each one of them joined the Jama’at Ahmadiyya after taking the Bai’at, “hence a new community was established in this place.

“They all requested the Jama’at that not a single person in their village knows “how to read the Quran. “They said that although they had made a small mosque for the worship of Allah, “yet nobody knew the entire words recited in Salat.

(Although it was a Muslim village which also had a small mosque for the purpose of worshiping Allah, yet nobody knew how to offer Salat or lead Salat in congregation.) “They continued by saying that therefore if the Jama’at deemed it necessary,

“they would like to request for someone who could teach them how to offer prayers “and recite the Holy Qur’an, even a local missionary would do for this cause and they shall “provide him with accommodation. “Upon hearing this, I assured them that they will be provided with a missionary

“as soon as one graduates and returns from the missionary college in Ghana.” He then writes, “The very next morning I received a visit from the chief Imam “of the village who had also brought his two sons alongside him and said: ‘Both of these boys are very dear to me,

‘I have brought them alongside me today so that you can choose any one of them and ‘train him for the purpose of serving Islam. ‘So that when he leads prayers and teaches people the Qur’an in the village,

‘I can proudly claim that it is only the Jama’at Ahmadiyya that is truly sincere in serving Islam.” “One of his sons is currently in training “and has also completed elementary course of becoming an Imam.” According to the Missionary, he will Inshallah, very soon take full control

Of organising the Jama’at and teaching them the Holy Qur’an. The Mu’alim of Ivory Coast writes, “Hamaad Sahib is the Imam stationed at Gabrgey village. “He informed me that three years ago he saw in a dream “that a white person descended from the heavens.

“Similarly, he witnessed in another dream that an elderly African person “taught him a sentence which he could not recall. “Once again, this person emerged in his dream and this time stated: ‘And from the evil of the envier when he envies’.”

He further states, “the construction of his local mosque had been completed a year after “he had witnessed these two dreams and two years after this construction he saw twice “in separate dreams that the words ‘MashAllah’ were scribed on the Mosque.

“Around that time, the regional missionary of the Jamaat met him for the purpose of “Tabligh and informed him in regards to the teachings of the Jamaat as a result of which “this local Imam accepted Ahmadiyyat. “A short-while later, the Ameer sahib of Jama’at Ahmadiyya Ivory coast visited that mosque

“and lead the Friday Prayers.” During the Friday prayers, he recited the following verses of “Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth glorifies Allah.” The Imam states “I became astonished to hear those verses because in my dream, “I had witnessed a white man reciting the same verses.”

The missionary from Nigeria writes that “a friend by the name of Raji sahib informed “him that for a very long time in his life he would become a part of many different sects “of Islam, but would eventually become disappointed by their poor spiritual conditions.

“He states that one day he was really pleased to watch a program made by Ahmadis “on MTA, but he was also worried because he had no idea of how these people were and “whether this was an effort to deceive people.

“He states that he then decided to regularly watch programs on MTA and especially “the sermons of the Khalifa, and began to offer the Istikhara prayer, “praying that he become guided by Allah. “After a few days of praying the Istikhara prayer, “his interest in the sermons of the Khalifa started to increase

“and writes that he now recognises the Jama’at as the true form of Islam. “He also states that listening to the sermons of the Khalifa made him realise “that this is indeed the true form of Islam and the perfect obedience “of the Holy Prophet (saw) can be found through Ahmadiyyat.

“Hence, this is the reason for his Bai’at and entering the Jamaat Ahmadiyya.” A member of Mali region’s Koulikoro Jamaat by the name of Jiyalo Sahib states that “his father had instructed him to do Bait at the hand of the Imam Mahdi “upon his arrival especially during the time when the Dajjal emerges.

“His father passed away and he became immersed in his worldly matters. “Later, he decided to study all of the sects of Islam and gained further information “about them by visiting their mosques and meeting their Imams. “During this period, he once turned on the radio at home and heard the speech

“of the missionary of a Jama’at on its radio channel Noor FM, “the topic of which was the arrival of the Imam Mahdi. “He states that initially he switched off the radio because he had heard that Ahmadis “were infidels and he shouldn’t listen to what they have to say.

“However, he then thought that he should also give them a chance and listen to them. “He states that once he heard the speech in regards to the Imam Mahdi, “Jesus (as) and Dajjal it became impossible for him to switch off the Radio again.

“At the same time, he recalled the instructions given to him by his father. “Hence, he immediately sought further information about the radio station “and entered the Jamaat Ahmadiyya after visiting its mission house.” A friend who resides in the city of Jiima in Mali by the name of Shigney Sahib states

That he was born in the year 1962 and he had never heard about Ahmadiyyat. One day he was traveling from his village towards the city and on the way he stopped by a nearby shop. The radio station of the Jama’at Ahmadiyya was being played at the shop and he realised

That the content being discussed was something new to him, hence he decided to take a seat and continued listening. He states: “I requested the shop keeper to allow me to attend his shop for a few days and

“listen to this radio station, hence I regularly went to this shop for the next five days and “I finally made the decision that I would like to become a member of the Jama’at Ahmadiyya. “Upon hearing this, the shop keeper tried to warn me by saying that these people (Ahmadis)

“are infidels and that I should abstain from joining them. “However, I thought within myself that I have already delayed my acceptance of Ahmadiyyat “and I cannot afford any further delay in this cause.” Hence, he travelled to the city and enquired about the mission house, and then became a member of the Jama’at.

Our missionary from Mali, Umar Mu’az Sahib writes that “there is an elderly Imam in the city “of Mali whose name is Al-Haaj Pir Sudiya who has served as an Imam in the city of Jeema for “30 years and has served as an Imam in another village for 45 years.

“He is currently about 100 years old. “He listens to our Jama’at programs on the FM radio regularly. “One day he came from his village to the mission house in Jeema “and said in front of all the people

“present at the time that ‘the Imam Mahdi is true and I enter into this community by pledging ‘my allegiance at the hand of the Imam Mahdi (as). “He said that ‘I have performed Hajj and I have served as an Imam for 75 years.

‘I am an educated individual and am from the nation of Sarakole’. “He then went on to say that the fact of the matter is that the Imam Mahdi has appeared “and this is his community. “Then he said that currently, ‘I am about 100 years of age.

‘God Almighty has blessed me with everything throughout my life ‘but the truth always remains the truth. ‘That is why I have made an effort to come here otherwise, I do not know anyone here’; (that is to say that he did now know anyone in the place that he had gone to).

‘I have only come to attest to the truthfulness of the Imam Mahdi (as) and to pledge my allegiance at his hand’. “And he also said all of these things in his own Sarakole language on live radio as well. So he didn’t keep anything hidden rather, he said everything openly.”

These are the ways of God Almighty; this is how God Almighty continues to spread His light. Then another missionary writes that at a book stall in Ahmedabad, India, “a man named Muhammad Saeed Sahib came to the book stall and “we exchanged our views with one another.

“We spoke about the beliefs of the community and through our dialogue it seemed “as if he had quite a bit of knowledge of Ahmadiyyat. “Upon asking him, he mentioned that he had not been introduced to the message of Ahmadiyyat

“by a particular person rather, he was acquainted with Ahmadiyyat through MTA for a long time “and upon listening to the question and answer sessions of Hazrat Khalifatul Masih IV (ra) on MTA “he was completely satisfied. “He said that ‘I consider the Ahmadiyya community to be true and

‘had an ardent desire within my heart to meet an Ahmadi so that I may join the community and ‘by doing Bai’at, become among those who have accepted the prophecy of our beloved master, ‘the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw).

‘Thus, I have met you at this book fair, and then he came to the mission house and did Bai’at.’ With the blessings of God Almighty, he is sincerely firm in his faith. A missionary from Indonesia writes that in a period of seven months, “I was unable to make any new converts.

“It was the month of Ramadhan. “I prayed a lot in this blessed month that may God Almighty show me a way whereby “I could make new converts here. He says that one day “I remembered that another missionary had given me the phone number “of some non-Ahmadi brother 4 months ago and had mentioned

“that he wishes to learn more about the community. “His house was close to my Jama’at. “He says that I tried to contact him through WhatsApp but I did not receive an answer from him. “After a few days, I received a message from him and we started to have a discussion on WhatsApp.

“Towards the end of the discussion, he asked for the address of the mission house and “after a few days, he came to the mission house and we had a lengthy discussion about “the importance of Bai’at, the need for believing in the Imam of the age, “financial sacrifices and so on and so forth.

“The truth about Ahmadiyyat was clearly explained to him and by the grace and “blessings of God Almighty, he did Bai’at this year in the month of June.” Then the missionary in-charge of Belize writes that “the very first lady to do Bai’at

“in Belize was Khadija Sahiba and through her, many people were introduced to the Jama’at “and many people also joined the Jama’at. “These days, she is serving as the Lajna secretary for Tabligh. “It is a habit of hers that wherever she goes, she tells people about Islam.

“He says that a few days prior to the Jalsa (annual convention) of Belize in January 2019, “she was driving her car to pick someone up when she had an accident. “There was a car parked outside someone’s house and she accidentally hit it.

“The owner of the car, Carla Sahiba, came outside and Khadija Sahiba apologised to her “and said that it would be best to inform the police. “She then introduced Carla Sahiba to the Jama’at during that time and also invited her “to the Jalsa in Belize as it was soon approaching.

“A few days later, Carla Sahiba came to the Jalsa and after the Jalsa, “she did Bai’at and accepted Ahmadiyyat. “When she was asked as to why she has joined the Jama’at, she said that for some time now,

‘I had been hearing about you in the media and I had the desire to join you ‘but I did not know any Ahmadi. ‘So the day when the accident took place, it felt as if God Almighty had brought you people to me. ‘After attending the Jalsa, I became more reassured

‘that this religion is for me and so I did Bai’at.’ This is how God Almighty opens doors [to Ahmadiyyat] by Himself. Abdullah Sahib from Morocco says that “I faced some difficulties from the father of my fiancé and their neighbour. “They would accuse the Jama’at that this is a misguided Jama’at.

“My soon-to-be father in-law is not well educated and my fiancé “gave no significance to this accusation because I had answered some of her questions and “she had understood them but despite that, I thought about calling off the wedding.

“He says, however, she called me one day and although I had not said anything to her, “I did not want to respond. “But she said that she saw in a dream that she had henna on her hands and “that she was wearing a green coloured Moroccan cloak.

“Then the Promised Messiah (as) came and held her hand. “The Promised Messiah (as) then gave her a book which was full of such light “that whatever was in that book, whatever was written in that book could not be read “because of the powerful light. “The blessed face of Huzoor was immensely illuminating.

“He says that then the Promised Messiah (as) looked at me and smiled, “then he passed his hand over my fiancé’s shoulder and left. “Now my wife says with great happiness and conviction that she has become reassured “and has decided to believe in the Imam of the Age.

“She is anxiously waiting to fill out the Bai’at form.” Then there is a brother named Ahmad Sahib from Egypt. He says “7 years before I did Bai’at, I saw an Indian man dressed in Indian clothing “in a dream and I asked who is this?

“The answer I received was that this is the Imam Mahdi. “I said to myself in my heart that the Imam Mahdi is supposed to be from among the Ahl-e-Bai’at, “how is this Indian the Imam Mahdi? “Then all of a sudden, I hugged that man and started crying.

“Upon waking up, I relayed my dream to my wife and then 7 days “after that I found MTA Al-Arabiya. “My wife and I watched MTA for 6 years and eventually did Bai’at and “joined the community of the believers. “I felt a prominent transformation within my personality after doing Bai’at.

“I was not the same person I was before doing Bai’at. “Along with pondering over the Holy Qur’an, I recite the Holy Qur’an as well, “I deal with people with great patience, tolerance and kindness. “Even people are happy with me because of this change within me

” yet they do not believe in the Promised Messiah (as). “Furthermore, even my father has noticed a moral transformation within me and “has said that ‘we wish for you always remain attached to this community however, ‘do not try and convince or convert us.’

“He says that they fail to understand that this transformation has come about within me “solely because of the blessings of following the Imam. “In any case, he says, pray that may God Almighty grant me steadfastness.” Momineen Sahiba from France says, “We learnt about Ahmadiyyat through MTA two years ago.

“My sister had done the Bai’at, however I did not take the Bai’at. “At the time, everyone in my family considered the Jama’at to be false, “however, owing to a few dreams I experienced, I eventually did the Bai’at.” She further states, “When my sister travelled to the UK to attend the Jalsa Salana UK,

“I saw in a dream that I had joined a false Jama’at and I told the members of my family “that I would prove its falsehood. “In my dream I saw a copy of the Holy Qur’an and told my family that “I would prove this through the Holy Qur’an.

“I then began to go through the pages of the Holy Qur’an, however each and “every page proved me to be false instead. “Thus, in this way God Almighty proved to me the truthfulness of this Jama’at “which I was initially trying to prove wrong.”

She further states, “I now testify that Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani (as) “is the Imam Mahdi and the commentaries published by the Jama’at are indeed excellent. “Such an extraordinary commentary could only have been taught by God Almighty. “Prior to this, I really enjoyed reading the commentary of an Egyptian scholar,

“Sheikh Abdul Hameed and various other Arab scholars, “however, there is no comparison to the commentaries produced by the Jama’at.” She further states, “The second dream I had was when I was greatly concerned and anxious due to my son. “One day after the Asr prayer, I fervently prayed to God Almighty and fell asleep.

“In my dream I saw that I was praying and whilst in prostration “I kept seeing Huzoor (i.e. she saw me). “Upon this, I decided to do the Bai’at. “I am extremely fortunate that God Almighty Himself granted me this introduction.” The Missionary In-charge of Haiti writes in his report, which he sent after

The construction of their first mosque, “Ahmadiyyat was established here in 2016 in a village called Beauchamps (if that is the correct pronunciation) “where 7 people had the opportunity to accept Ahmadiyyat. “Among them was Abdus Salam, a Sunni Imam of a non-Ahmadi mosque.

“The Pakistani Army which was sent as part of a UNO Peacekeeping mission “rented this place for the local Muslims of the area to use as a prayer centre. “Among the army was perhaps an officer who was prejudiced and “told them to leave Ahmadiyyat and even threatened them.

“However, all of the Ahmadis, who had just recently converted, remained resolute “and consequently the army expelled them from the prayer centre. “Thereafter, the Jama’at hired a two-bedroom house and used it for a prayer centre. “Later, a project was initiated to construct a mosque and the UNO,

“along with the local non-Ahmadis and the [Pakistani] army, purchased some land and “constructed a mosque and appointed someone from another city as the Imam. “At the same time, the Jama’at also purchased a plot of land “and began to construct a mosque of their own.

“By the grace of God Almighty, the rest of the non-Ahmadi Muslims “also accepted Ahmadiyyat and now in the Beauchamps village there is a Jama’at “consisting of 40 members. “On the other hand, the Imam of the other mosque,

“who had been appointed by the UNO, took the keys of the mosque and ran away and “now no one comes to offer their prayer there.” Amir Sahib Gambia writes, “By the grace of God Almighty we have had the opportunity to build a beautiful mosque “in the Yoro Jula village in the Kiang District.

“Since then, the Mullah [Muslim clerics] have been visiting the village and “issuing threats to the Ahmadis to abandon Ahmadiyyat and the mosque “because Ahmadis are not Muslims. “They also declared that if anyone from among them died, they will not allow them to be buried.

“An illiterate Ahmadi lady asked the Mullahs, ‘In this mosque, ‘do Ahmadis not recite Surah Al-Fatihah of the Holy Qur’an in their prayers? ‘If there is no difference then why should we abandon Ahmadiyyat and their mosque? ‘We are Ahmadis and will remain to be Ahmadis and you can do whatever you like.’

“Subsequently, the Mullahs were sent away.” Amir Sahib Congo states, “This year, we were able to build a prayer centre in the town of Bagata. “Upon witnessing the organisation and teachings of the Jama’at, “many Muslims accepted Ahmadiyyat, as a result of which the Jama’at began

“to face intense opposition and our Mu’alimeen were also threatened. “Furthermore, they submitted false reports to the local authorities and “the newly converted Ahmadis were urged to leave Ahmadiyyat. “However, by the grace of Allah the Almighty, despite this opposition, “they remained firm and said to the opposition,

‘We have been Muslims for many years but not once did you ever come to us. ‘Now that the Ahmadiyya Community is teaching us the true message of Islam, ‘you have started to oppose us. ‘We are now Ahmadi Muslims and will inshAllah remain firm on this.’

The Missionary In-Charge of Benin writes that the local missionary of Parakou mentioned that Rehman Sahib who lives in one of its regions said, “When I accepted Ahmadiyyat, “I was extremely poor and would only have enough provisions to eat twice in the day. “The Maulvis opposed me greatly,

“however I remained firm upon Ahmadiyyat along with my family. “By the grace of Allah the Almighty due to the Jama’at, I have been instilled with such a habit “to pay Chanda that, whether it is a large or small amount, “however I regularly pay my Chanda every month.

“Now, my crops yield a greater produce “and I now even own a motorcycle and also a solid bricked house. “By God, I can say that God Almighty has granted me this grace “owing to the blessings of the Jama’at.” There are many examples where the enmity of the opposition became

The means of people taking the Bai’at. I shall present a few more accounts in this regard. Abdus Salam Sahib from Mali’s Koulikoro region states that “he was first introduced “to Ahmadiyyat through the radio. “At the time he was at an Ahmadi’s house and later he purchased his own radio and

“since then he has not listened to any other radio station apart from the Jama’at’s radio station. “He said that he listens to all its radio programmes attentively and “also makes his family members listen to it as well. “By the grace of Allah the Almighty,

“the Jama’at has become very well established now in their village. “Last year, owing to the incitement from the Maulvis, the Imam of the village began “to oppose the Jama’at and stopped Ahmadis from attending the mosque. “However, an Ahmadi member who lived in the neighbouring village

“and owned a plot of land in their village, immediately offered it to them. “The Jama’at constructed their own four-walled structure and “began to offer their prayers in its open courtyard. “After this opposition, the chief of the village, the mayor, his deputies as well as some families

“which comprised of 210 people, entered the fold of Ahmadiyyat. “The Maulvis initially came to oppose the Jama’at, however God Almighty blessed the Jama’at “in such a way that instead the chief of the area and its mayor accepted Ahmadiyyat.

“By the grace of Allah the Almighty, this year the Jama’at is constructing its mosque there and “many of those who were opposing the Jama’at upon the provocation of the Maulvi, “have also accepted Ahmadiyyat.” The missionary in Liberia writes,

“During a Tabligh [preaching] tour we arrived at Makandoh which is a village in Cape Mount County “and held a Tabligh programme. “We introduced the Ahmadiyya Jama’at, the Promised Messiah (as) and “also the purpose of his (as) advent. “We also answered any questions they had.

“After the conclusion of the programme, the Imam of the village, Fawad Kamara Sahib, “told us that a little while ago a few people from among the Shia sect visited them and “spread false propaganda about the Ahmadiyya Jama’at. “They claimed that Ahmadis were the ones who were responsible for the martyrdom

“of Hazrat Imam Hassan (ra) and Hazrat Imam Hussain (ra). (Since these people are not well-versed in [Islamic] history, (therefore, the Mullah seek to wrongfully deceive them by stating that, God-forbid, ‘Ahmadis martyred Imam Hassan (ra) and Imam Hussain (ra))’.

Fawad Sahib states, ‘In this way, they turned us against Ahmadis and made us think ill of them. ‘However, the manner in which you have introduced the Jama’at today has made ‘us feel guilty for having listened to them and stayed away from the Jama’at. ‘Today, we pledge to join the community.’

“By the grace of Allah, the Almighty, all 195 members of the village did the Bai’at and “have joined Ahmadiyyat.” This is the effect of the false propaganda created by the opponents in that how God Almighty turns their own evil ploys against them.

Thus, it is God Almighty Who is causing this spiritual light to be spread. The Promised Messiah (as) states, “When the advent of a divinely appointed individual takes place, “countless angels also descend along with him. “These angles instil virtuous and pure thoughts in the hearts of people just as previously

“the satanic forces would instil evil thoughts in them. “This phenomenon is only due to the divinely appointed ones because it is through “their advent that result in these inspirations. “Just as it is stated, ‘Surely, we sent it down on the Night of Destiny.

‘And what should make thee know what the Night of Destiny is?’ Thus, when God Almighty has decreed that with the advent of one who is divinely commissioned, angels also descend, therefore, can this work be done without divine succour? The help of God Almighty is with the Promised Messiah (as) and

Out of the countless incidents, I have narrated just few, which indeed testify to this. The Promised Messiah (as) states, “I say with utmost conviction and belief that I am able to witness that power with my very eyes. “However, it is a pity that I cannot show it to the worldly people “for despite having the faculty to see, they do not see and despite “having the ability to hear, they do not listen. “The time shall soon come when God Almighty will cause everyone to see and “my truthfulness will be manifested as clear as daylight.

“However, at that time the door to repentance will be closed shut and “no one’s declaration of faith at that time will be of any avail to them.” We believe with utmost conviction that this community has been established by God Almighty and He Himself has taken the responsibility to spread forth this spiritual light

Which He is continuously spreading. The opponents can make all the efforts they wish to but no one can now stop its progress. This community is, Inshallah, going to develop and flourish and will spread all over and this is the divine decree of God Almighty which shall indeed come to pass.

It is God Almighty’s great blessing upon us that He has enabled us to accept the Promised Messiah (as). In order to attract the blessings of God Almighty, it is our duty that whilst we focus on improving our conditions, we should also partake of the blessings of God Almighty’s decree

Of spreading the message of the Promised Messiah (as). However, this is only possible when we also direct our attention towards Tabligh as well. By doing so, we will not only be improving our life in this world and in the hereafter, but we will also be guiding the world to the right path and

Will become the recipient of His blessings. May God Almighty grant us the ability to do so. Please join me in silent prayer. May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon you. According to the attendance report, 1576 members have participated from the Jama’at in Holland,

Among whom were 795 men and 781 and women. The total attendance was 5839, among whom were 3495 men and 2344 women and 132 non-Ahmadi guests. Also, according to the report, by the grace of Allah the Almighty, 17 countries were represented at this Jalsa. Therefore, approximately half of the total attendance was made up

Of those who travelled from outside of Holland and in this way they have contributed in the pleasant and enjoyable atmosphere of the Jalsa. May Allah reward you all and may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon you all.
