Beacon Of Guidance

The fact of the matter is that wearing the Hijab is not something that is viewed negatively only there, in fact it is also viewed negatively in Europe as well. There are some countries within Europe that have passed laws to prohibit women from wearing the Hijab or from wearing it in certain public places.

As a matter of fact, there are fines and punishments given to anyone who does. Despite this, those women and young girls who are steadfast in their faith do in fact wear the Hijab. You will have to decide whether you wish to follow the commandments of God Almighty

And bear every hardship, mockery and every critical remark for His sake or whether you will become fearful and accept what other people say and follow the trends of society. So, this is a decision you have to make. But a believing woman should be strong in her faith. When one believes

That the teaching of the Holy Qur’an is one which is for all times and which shall remain established until the end of time, when one believes that it is the last book of Sharia and that the commandments found therein are absolute and are for our betterment and wellbeing,

Then remain firm upon the fact that it is a commandment of the Holy Qur’an that a woman should observe Purdah and wear the Hijab. Thus, you have to decide whether you wish to safeguard your faith and establish a relationship with Allah the Almighty and follow what He says

Or will you become afraid of the society and worried over small criticisms and abandon your religious teachings? This depends on you. You ought to decide for yourself as to what path you wish to adopt. I hope that a believing Ahmadi Muslim woman and girl will remain firm upon the fact

That after having accepted the Promised Messiah and Mahdi (as), she will act upon the teachings of the Holy Qur’an – the teachings for which the Promised Messiah (as) was sent by Allah the Almighty. Huzoor, there are some people, who upon being asked to join the system of Wasiyyat,

Say that they are not righteous and therefore cannot be a part of this. Beloved Huzoor, what course of action can we adopt in this regard? The facts is, in the beginning when I especially drew the attention of our members towards Wasiyyat,

I spoke about this then as well and mentioned in relation to those people who say that they are not righteous and pious, therefore how can they join the system of Wasiyyat. And also that they feel that they do not meet the necessary requirements of Wasiyyat. Thus, at the time I mentioned,

And have continuously done so in various gatherings that firstly, one should read the book, Al-Wasiyyat (The Will). When one reads Al-Wassiyat, they will understand what should be the standard of an Ahmadi. Then, when one joins the system of Wasiyyat, they will then try to reach that standard.

To simply say that “I am not of such and such standard “and so therefore will not join the system of Wasiyyat”, then such a person will never make effort in this regard their entire life, nor will they ever try to reach a good, pious and high standard.

Therefore, this is a way to achieve that. And this is what the Promised Messiah (as) has stated that when one enters into the system of Al-Wasiyyat, they will be mindful of this. The Promised Messiah (as) has outlined the connection between Al-Wasiyyat and Khilafat. When one does Wasiyyat

And strives to perform virtues and also tries to adopt them, then their level of spirituality increases, as does their bond of loyalty with Khilafat. Such a person then becomes a true Ahmadi. Otherwise, this is just a mere pledge that one will give precedence to their faith over worldly pursuits,

And that they will be prepared to sacrifice themselves as well as their children. However, if one is not prepared to even sacrifice a small amount from their wealth – which the Promised Messiah (as) has mentioned is a method by which one can increase in their righteousness –

Then how can that individual stand up and recite the Ansarullah Pledge and proclaim that they would be prepared to offer such and such sacrifices. Therefore, Ansarullah has to inform their members that they will only fulfil their pledge when they strive to carry out all the virtues.

And the Promised Messiah (as) established the institution of Al-Wasiyyat as one of the important means of attaining these virtues, through which one not only raises the level of their spirituality, but they also offer financial sacrifices. Furthermore, this strengthens one’s bond of loyalty with Khilafat.

If you explain to them in this manner, they will understand. Otherwise man usually has some shortcomings, and so will simply make the excuse that they are not pious or virtuous or how could they do something like this. The fact is that the institution of Al-Wasiyyat has been established for this very purpose,

So that when one joins this [blessed] scheme, Allah the Almighty would enable one to perform virtues and increase in righteousness.
