Friday Sermon – Khalifatul Masih V – Mirza Masroor Ahmad – Year 2016
I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except God He is alone and has no partner and I bear witness that Muhammad (saw) is His Servant and Messenger After this I seek refuge with Allah, from Satan, the accursed. In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds. The Gracious, the Merciful. Master of the Day of Judgment. Thee alone do we worship and Thee alone do we implore for help. Guide us in the right path; The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings,
Those who have not incurred Thy displeasure, and those who have not gone astray. In the previous Friday Sermon, I mentioned that God Almighty states that in order for prayers to be accepted it is essential to hold perfect belief in God Almighty,
To seek from Him, while believing in Him as the All-Powerful, and to adhere to His commandments. What are the commandments of God Almighty? It was mentioned in the previous sermon, that for this purpose, God Almighty has given us a great book in the form of the Holy Quran, in which
All the commandments of God Almighty pertaining to what to do and what not to do are included. When God Almighty states: ‘So they should hearken to Me’, it means that ‘they should follow My commandments which have been recorded in the Holy Quran’
And as a result God Almighty will accept one’s prayers and also grant guidance. God Almighty states that the end result will be ‘that they may follow the right way’ [2:187] and ‘they will witness the wonders of My nearness as result of this guidance.’
They should follow the right path, be of the guided ones, do good works, refrain from evil, fulfil the objective of their creation and they should fulfil the rights of one another while demonstrating high morals. However, are all of these [qualities] which have been mentioned in conjunction with Ramadan,
Only required in this month alone? Will we be granted guidance eternally by only adhering to these commandments in the month of Ramadan? The month of Ramadan has in fact come to specially remind us of these things and also for us to draw closer to God Almighty through this month of training
So that after acquiring this training and by making this effort or trying to make this effort, and by observing one another, we can find ways to gain the nearness of God Almighty. Among us there are some who are better than others in their practises, worship and morals.
During these days, while there is an opportunity for us to collectively observe one another, it also turns our attentions to reflect upon our own selves. We should try to adhere to God Almighty’s commandments, both individually and collectively, in order to attain His nearness and raise the level of acceptance of our prayers
And permanently attain the nearness of God Almighty and improve our life in this world and the hereafter. There are countless commandments in the Holy Quran wherein God Almighty has instructed us in regards to what one should and shouldn’t do and which, from time to time, we should try to remind ourselves of them.
At this moment in time, I have selected some of those commandments. One of the basic commandments and which is the purpose of our creation is to worship God Almighty, as God Almighty states: ‘And I have not created the jinn and the men but that they may worship Me’ [51:57].
The Promised Messiah (as) has translated this verse in the following manner: ‘I have not created the jinn and man but that they may worship Me.’ I have spoken on this subject on many occasions. I have repeatedly drawn attention towards this,
However there are many among us who remember it for a few days and then forget about it. I am aware and have also observed that there are some Waqifeen-e-Zindagi [life devotees], and even those who have acquired religious knowledge and understand its significance from an intellectual point view
Also fail to pay attention to this in the manner they ought to. Also, the office-holders of the community, who will try to display their religious knowledge at meetings and if someone’s case is presented to them, they will cite references from the Holy Quran and Ahadith in order to reform them.
However, there are some from among them who do not pay attention to this commandment as one should. The Promised Messiah (as) states in one place: “Let it be understood that by creating you, your Creator has only one objective “and that is so that you may worship Him and become wholly His.
“The world should not be the sole objective of your life. “Hence, I repeatedly state that according to me, man has been solely created for this purpose “and it is this very thing that he has become distanced from.” Further explaining the point of not making the world the sole purpose of your lives,
The Promised Messiah (as) says it does not mean that you should give up on all worldly affairs. Indeed, you should also take part in them, however your responsibility of worship, which is in fact the purpose of your creation, must take precedence.
During these days of the month of Ramadan this [commandment] is generally being practised. The Ishaa prayer is offered quite late in the countries of the West and by the time one gets back from prayer, it is around eleven or quarter past eleven.
Then, there are some who remain behind to offer the Taraveeh prayer which have been organised in the mosques and it is not until twelve or twelve thirty that one goes to sleep. And then, they must get back up for Sehri [pre-dawn mean] at around half past two
And also offer some voluntary prayer and then come for the [ fajr ] prayer in the mosque. All of this proves that if one has the intention and a physical effort is made instead of just being aware of its importance,
Then they will not show any slackness in Salat, which is the best form of worship, rather they would make a concerted effort to come to the mosque. To offer Salat in congregation in the mosque is also among the commandments of God Almighty.
Thus, in this Ramadan, the Waqifeen-e-Zindagi [life devotees], who have pledged that they will make every effort to give precedence to faith over worldly pursuits more than anyone else, and also the office-holders, whom the members of the community look up to
And they have selected them on the basis that they are the best among them, they should be an example for the rest. They should strive to not only limit their special efforts towards their worship, in accordance to the teachings of God Almighty, in the month of Ramadan alone,
Nor should they simply countdown the remaining days that thirteen or twelve days are left and then we can go back to our old ways. In fact, the progress made during this month of training towards fulfilling the commandments should become a permanent part of one’s life. You should become examples for others,
Just as the Promised Messiah (as) states in the extract I presented before you, in which he has drawn our attention to this matter repeatedly, with a great heartfelt desire. I shall present a few more extracts of the Promised Messiah (as) in regards to this. The Promised Messiah (as) states:
“When God Almighty’s sole objective for the creation of man is so that he may worship Him, “therefore it does not behove a true believer to make something else his primary objective. “Fulfilling one’s own desires and senses are allowed, however overindulging in them is not.
“Fulfilling our own desires and senses is allowed so that they are not rendered defunct. “Therefore, you should also utilise them for this purpose. “You should bring them into function so that they can aid you in your worship “but they should not become the ultimate objective in itself.”
To fulfil the rights of one’s soul is also recorded in the Hadith. The Holy Prophet (saw) said: “your body/soul has certain rights over you.” The Promised Messiah (as) states that indeed this right exists however there should be moderation in this. The rightful needs of the body should be fulfilled
Because God Almighty has included them within human nature, thus it is essential to fulfil them. Those senses should be utilised and put into use because if they are not effectively used and the right of the body is not fulfilled, it can cause certain senses to stop functioning,
And although they are not the objective of one’s life, they are needed in order for one to worship. To make use of the faculties and strengths, which God Almighty has created, is essential and not doing so will be ungrateful.
Once, a female companion was in a very bad state, she wold neither get ready nor comb her hair. It was brought to the Holy Prophet’s (saw) attention that she lives in such a state. When the Holy Prophet (saw) called for her, she said “what reason is there for me to get ready,
“as my husband prays all day and all night?” The Holy Prophet (saw) called her husband and said, “your body has certain rights over you and so does your wife.” Thus, all kinds of rights need to be fulfilled but one’s objective of life should always be kept in view.
When the rights of one’s body are being fulfilled then the health will also remain intact and when one’s health is intact then one can also be effective in worship. The Promised Messiah (as) states: “Improper use can also turn Halal [lawful] into Haram [unlawfulness]. (God Almighty) states,
‘And I have not created the jinn and the men but that they may worship Me’ [51:57]. “It is evident from this, that man has only been created for the purpose of worship. “Thus, if one exceeds the use of whatever he is in need of, in order to fulfil this objective,
“then despite being Halal , it can become Haram by way of becoming excessive.” Lawful use of everything is fine, but if it exceeds the required amount, then even that which is Halal can become Haram . “How can the dues of worship be fulfilled
“when one is occupied in satisfying his inner desires day and night? “It is incumbent upon a believer to live a life of hardship “but by living a life of luxury, one cannot even gain a fraction of this life.” The Promised Messiah (as) further states: “The real purpose behind the creation of man
“is so that he recognise his Lord and show complete obedience to Him, “just as God Almighty states, ‘And I have not created the jinn and the men but that they may worship Me’ [51:57]. “However, it is a shame that majority of the people who come into this world,
“instead of trying to understand their responsibility and the objective of their life, “after having reached adolescence, they abandon God Almighty and incline towards worldly pursuits. “They become so infatuated by the wealth of the world and its admiration
“that there is very little of God in them, in fact, there are some who do not have any at all. “They become so engrossed and devoted to the world “that they do not even have any idea of God whatsoever.
“Indeed, they only realise it when the angel of death comes to take their soul.” They only break free from their worldly affairs when death approaches them. In fact, majority of the worldly people even at the time of their death are worried about the wealth of this world and how to secure it.
However, this is not the case for a Momin [true believer], where he only thinks of how to secure his worldly wealth at the time of his death but in good health, even those who, despite having belief, forget the actual purpose of their life and are more concerned about their worldly objectives.
Thus, the main concern for each and every one of us should be to try and become those who fulfil the objectives of their lives. And, during Ramadan and even after it, we should remain focused on worshipping God Almighty and for this we should keep in view the commandment regarding populating the mosques.
The Promised Messiah (as) states in one place: “A person should have a heartfelt desire to attain the nearness of God, “so that he becomes of significance and valued in the sight of God Almighty.” When a person has a heartfelt desire to attain the nearness of God Almighty,
Then he will hold value in the sight of God Almighty. Thus, only he who is honourable and worthy in the sight of God can attain true guidance and can attain the love of God Almighty. In numerous other instances, Allah the Almighty explains the subject of prayer and worship.
In Surah Al-Nur , Allah the Almighty says: [Holy Qur’an] ‘Men, whom neither merchandise nor traffic diverts from the remembrance of Allah ‘and the observance of Prayer, and the giving of the Zakat. ‘They fear a day in which hearts and eyes will be in a state of agitation and anguish.’
As the Promised Messiah (as) has mentioned, the example is given in this verse of those who become worthy of honour in the sight of Allah the Almighty. The companions of the Holy Prophet (saw) were awarded the highest honour in this respect and they became the beloved of God the Almighty.
The Holy Prophet (saw) told us that his Companions are guiding lights for us and thus we should follow them. The Promised Messiah (as) explaining this verse says: “It is narrated about a person in Tazkiratul Uliyah : “He was engaged in his trade which was worth thousands.
“The WaliUllah saw him and discovered through a vision that, “despite being so heavily involved in his trade, (selling merchandise and earning high amounts) “despite being so heavily involved in his trade and money “he was not negligent of God the Almighty at all.
(he conducted his business but was never negligent to God the Almighty). “About such persons has Allah the Almighty said: [Holy Qur’an] ‘Men, whom neither merchandise nor traffic diverts from the remembrance of Allah. “Excellence in man entails precisely this –
“that while he engages in work and business, he still does not become slack towards God Almighty. “What use is a pony that sits when a load is placed on her, “and walks when the load is taken off? That is not a praise-worthy act.”
A pony is a type of horse used to carry loads, particularly in mountainous areas. The Promised Messiah (as) then says: “The beggar who runs away from all worldly pursuits and work “and becomes reclusive, displays weakness in doing so.” One needs to be clear on this perspective. Worship is indeed our purpose,
However we should carry out the worldly activities and work alongside this. Those who become hermits and isolate themselves entirely from the world are actually weak. “Islam does not teach us to adopt monasticism; to cut off any ties with family life –
“having a wife and children and to leave all worldly employment and business. “Rather an employee should fulfil his rights at his work “and a businessman should fulfil the right of his trade, “but while doing so always give precedence to his religion (that is the condition).
The Promised Messiah says “We find the example in this world. “Businessmen and employees, while carrying out their work and trade brilliantly, “still take care of their wife and children and equally fulfil their rights.” On the one hand they are engaged in their jobs and businesses,
However, in parallel they fulfil all the rights of the wife and children at home. “Similarly, a person can fulfil all the rights of God Almighty alongside all worldly engagements. “He can lead an excellent life, giving precedence to his religions over worldly matters.” In terms of safeguarding one’s prayers, Allah the Almighty says:
[Holy Qur’an] ‘Watch over Prayers, and the middle Prayer, and stand before Allah submissively.’ Here, those people have been especially admonished towards prayers who find any of the prayers difficult and burdensome to offer. For one who stays awake at night and cannot wake for the Fajr prayers on time out of laziness,
The Fajr prayer will become his ‘middle’ prayer. For an employee or businessman who finds offering Zuhr prayer difficult, Zuhr prayer will become his ‘middle’ prayer. To ‘watch over’ (Haafizu) means to safeguard something so it is prevented from being wasted. Thus a Momin’s (true believer) obedience is truly displayed
When he offers prayers on time and fulfils the right of the prayers. One should not simply go through the motions of prayer at a rapid pace. Another commandment Allah the Almighty has given is to fulfil and uphold one’s pledges. Included in this are the pledges to God Almighty and the pledges to people.
The pledge to God the Almighty relates to the pledge of God’s religion. There is the pledge of being a Muslim and for an Ahmadi in particular, the oath of allegiance to the Promised Messiah (as). We have made a pledge to give precedence to our faith over all worldly matters.
We have made a pledge to act upon the teachings of Islam – this is a pledge to implement all such things, which draw our attention to fulfilling the rights of God Almighty. All of the conditions of Bai’at reflect this, and also to fulfilling the rights of His creations.
We need to give heed towards this. Allah the Almighty says: [Holy Qur’an] ‘And fulfil the covenant of Allah when you have made; ‘and break not the oaths after making them firm, while you have made Allah your surety. ‘Certainly, Allah knows what you do.’
Thus, it is a very clear command that we have two pledges. One pledge is to God the Almighty and surely this is an oath to follow the teachings of Islam and the oath of allegiance ( Bai’at ). It is a pledge that after entering Islam and calling oneself a Muslim,
He will act upon all the commands of God the Almighty. Secondly, it has been commanded to fulfil the pledges and covenants made among one another. Having made Allah the Almighty the guarantor, it becomes necessary to fulfil this pledge.
By no means does this infer that there is no harm to break a covenant or promise where Allah the Almighty’s name is not invoked nor is He made a guarantor. Not at all. Rather, every pledge and covenant made must, first of all, be based on justice and fairness.
This is because it is essential for a Momin (true believer) to base his promises on justice as has been commanded by God the Almighty. In other words, whether or not we invoke God the Almighty when making a pledge, ultimately God the Almighty has taught us to always adopt honesty and equity.
Thus, a pledge made based on honesty and fairness will enter under the guarantee of God Almighty. We need to understand this subject of a true believer fulfilling all his oaths and covenants. If we understand its importance and essence, our society will become free of all forms of quarrels, fraud and blames.
Issues that arise in domestic matters, which are caused by vows being broken, will never emerge. I have observed that nowadays there is an increase in pledges not being honoured, in fraud and in breaking promises – and this due to worldly greed – and this includes among us.
This not only defames the Jama’at, but rather also often ruins the faith of the person. To break a pledge one has to resort to lies. We have been very severely warned regarding lies and falsehood by Allah the Almighty and commanded to refrain from it. Allah says: [Holy Qur’an]
‘Shun therefore the abomination of idols, and shun all words of untruth.’ The Promised Messiah (as) says: “At this time, I do not need to counsel you to refrain from murder and bloodshed. “Who apart from the most wretched and evil person would think of murdering someone unjustly?
“However I do say that do not kill honesty by acting unjustly and stubbornly. “Accept the truth, even if it be from a child.” Do not stubbornly reject even what a child says if it is the truth. “Discard dry logic immediately, if even an adversary speaks the truth.”
If you have an opponent who says something truthful, then there is no need to argue despite any dispute with him, nor do you need to resort to dry logic. “Resolutely adopt the truth and give true testimony. As God the Glorious says: [Holy Qur’an]
‘Shun therefore the abomination of idols, and shun all words of untruth.’ “lying is equivalent to idol worship. “Anything which misguides a person away from the truth is his idol. “Give truthful testimony even if it is against your parents, brothers or friends.
“Hatred or enmity should not lead anyone to acting unjustly.” We try to convince non-Muslims that the teachings in the Holy Qur’an all advocate justice and fairness. Yet many among us forget this when it comes to our personal matters. On one occasion the Promised Messiah (as) says: “Idol worship has been equated with falsehood.
“Just like a foolish person abandons God the Almighty and bows down to idols, “similarly one who discards honesty makes falsehood his idol. “Hence God has linked idols with falsehood. Just as a person should shun idol worship,
(a person submits to idols and believes that is his point of worship that will forgive his sins (and grant him salvation and enable him to fulfil his objective). “Similarly a person who lies creates an idol of his own and believes that through this statue, “through lying, he will resolvethe matter at hand.
“How corrupt is one in that when one is questioned why they do not shun idol worship, “they reply ‘that is impossible for without resorting to it we cannot attain salvation.’ “What greater misfortune is there than of them believing falsehood is their point of dependence?
“However, I emphatically reassure you that truth will always ultimately prevail. “Success will be with the truthful. Remember that falsehood and lying are the greatest abomination. “Generally people in the world say that one who tells the truth is caught or imprisoned. “However why should I believe this? I had seven cases lodged against me.
“With the Grace of Allah, I did not to write even one lie in any of them. “Now can anyone show where God the Almighty caused me to be defeated in any of these cases? “Allah the Almighty is indeed the supporter of truthfulness. “Is it possible that he punishes the righteous?
“If this were so then nobody in the world would dare speak the truth.” If the righteous and truthful are punished by God, then no one in the world would tell the truth. “And no one would believe in God the Almighty. These righteous people would die instantly.
“Truthful people who suffer punishment is not because they were honest. “Rather, it is because they had other concealed vices in them “and are punished for some other falsehood. “God the Almighty has knowledge of all their vices and wickedness. “A person has so many shortcomings and he is punished for one or the other.”
Thus, we should always seek forgiveness from God Almighty for our sins, bowing to Him with humility, lest we be caught out for our covert sins. God Almighty has commanded (which is also an attribute of the righteous) that: [Holy Qur’an] ‘and those who suppress anger and pardon men’.
’Afuf’ is to forgive someone after completely overlooking the crimes committed against oneself. This is ‘ Afuf . Therefore, the righteous are those who not only suppresses their anger, but they forgive to such an extent as to completely forget the sin committed against them.
In regards to the benefits of supressing ones anger, the Promised Messiah (as) states: “You should be wary that there is grave enmity between reason and passion. “When one succumbs to his anger and passion, reason cannot stay balanced. “However, if one remains patient and exhibits forbearance then he is granted a radiance,
“which strengthens his reason and intelligence with a new light. Thus from light precedes light. “When one is in a state of anger and outrage, ones heart becomes darkened. “Thus from darkness emerges darkness.” In another instance the Promised Messiah (as) states: “Hearken! “The one who is callous and cannot control his rage,
“he can never utter any words of compassion and wisdom from his mouth. “The heart of one who loses all sense after becoming enraged is bereft of wisdom. “The lips of one who has an uncontrolled and vile tongue “is deprived of the intricacies of the fountainhead.”
If one is foul mouthed and hurls vile and explicit abuse at another, then it is difficult to stop such a person. The mouths and tongues of such individuals are bereft of those virtuous and pious actions that please God Almighty. Such individuals only utter vile nonsense.
“Rage and wisdom cannot coexist. The one who is incensed by rage is dim-witted and senseless. If one succumbs to rage, he loses mind, which also diminish his ability to think. “They will never receive [divine] succour or be victorious in any field.
“Rage is the half way point of insanity. If it is not controlled then one can go insane.” At another occasion the Promised Messiah (as) stated: “It is the duty of man “to use his strengths at the right place and in the appropriate manner which is permissible. “Take ones capacity of rage, for example.
“If it becomes unbalanced then usually that is a precursor for insanity. “There is little difference between rage and insanity”. “Wisdom is snatched away from the one who is fervently violent, “in fact even if the other person is an opponent, one should never speak to him with rage.” Should you face an opponent, even then you should not speak to him angrily nor aggressively, on the contrary, you should always speak with wisdom.
Thus, on the one hand, the commandments of God Almighty raise our moral values edging us ever closer to attaining the nearness of God, and on the other hand it enlightens our thought processes. Likewise, it saves man from many enmities and losses.
More often than not, the people who are enraged easily and argue, suffer, never do they benefit from it. The Promised Messiah states: “There are two faculties which render man (i.e. drive him to madness); “one is ill thinking of others and the second is rage, in the instance that they are in abundance.”
When these [faculties] exceeds all bounds, it drives a man to insanity. The Promised states: “Thus, “It is imperative that one abstains from thinking ill of others and anger.” God Almighty has commanded in the Holy Qur’an to refrain from speaking ill of others. God Almighty states: [Holy Qur’an]
‘O ye who believe! Avoid most of suspicions; for suspicion in some cases is a sin. ‘And spy not, nor back-bite one another. ‘Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Certainly you would loathe it. ‘And fear Allah, surely, Allah is Oft-Returning with compassion and is Merciful.’
In this verse the first command given is to avoid suspicion. The Promised Messiah (as) states: “The habit of suspiciousness and thinking ill of others “is an affliction which makes a person blind and plunges him into the dark pit of ruin.”
He further adds: “Let it be clear, that all evils and damages stem out of suspicion, “which is why God Almighty has forbidden it outright. “The habit of thinking ill of others should be shunned altogether. “Should someone happen to fall into this attitude, he should seek forgiveness repeatedly”
Should someone happen to fall into this attitude concerning another, rather than harbouring and entertaining these evils thoughts or thencausing the other person harm as a result of it, one should repeatedly seek forgiveness. “One should repeatedly seek forgiveness and should supplicate to God Almighty
“that he may be safeguarded against such sinfulness and the consequences that flow from it. That he may be safeguarded against this wrongdoing and the negative consequences “that flow from it” “This habit should not be underestimated. It is a dangerous disease.”
In addition to this, the other prohibition that God Almighty has stressed is spying – to probe deeply in order to expose someone’s weakness and pry on that individual. Making an effort to find out something that a person does not wish to be revealed is wrong and can lead to evils [in society].
Then, the third command [in the verse] is to avoid backbiting. Backbiting is the equivalent of someone consuming the flesh of his dead brother, which is something that you detest entirely. The Holy Prophet (saw) was questioned about backbiting. He replied: “To state a fact about someone in their absence, in a manner
“that if they were present, they would dislike it, is backbiting.” To say something true about another in their absence, irrespective of whether it is true, if it is something that will offend him, then expressing that view in his absence is backbiting.
“and if that person does not have the trait in him which is being alleged, then this is a calumny.” It behoves not the righteous to do such deeds that would create further problems or disorders in the society. One should not backbite, nor slander anyone.
Thus, in this Ramadan, when it is our wish that we become righteous and through attaining the nearness of God, we see our prayers being accepted. For this, we must abstain from these sins and act on the teachings of God Almighty. May God Almighty enable us to follow all the commandments of God Almighty,
Thereby attaining the nearness of God Almighty. May we continue to act upon these virtues after Ramadan. May we become the true servants of God Almighty and may stay truly obedient to Him. After the prayers I will lead a funeral prayer in absentia of a martyr;
Mr Chaudhry Khaleeq Ahmad Sahib, son of Mr Chaudhry Bashir Ahmad from the district of Gulzaar Hijri, Karachi, at the age of 49. On 20th June 2016, opponents of Ahmadiyyat entered his clinic at approximately 9:30pm and fired at him. ‘To Him we belong and to Him we shall return.’
According to the reports Mr Chaudhry Khaleeq sahib had a diploma in medicine, and ran a homeopathic as well as an allopathic clinic near his home. On the day of the incident, he opened his fast and routinely went to his clinic in Gulzaar Hijri and was attending to his patients.
At approximately 9:30 pm, two unknown suspects wearing helmets entered the clinic, and opened fire at Mr Khaleeq and then ran away from the scene. He suffered two shots to the head and two to the chest. A man from the local medical store nearby rushed on motorbike to inform his family.
Mr Kaleeq Sahib’s son immediately arrived with his car and took him to the nearby hospital, but before he could reach the hospital he attained the station of martyrdom. ‘To Him we belong and to Him we shall return.’ Just last month on 25th May, in the same area of Gulzaar Hijri in Karachi,
Two unknown suspects also shot Mr Daud Ahmad Sahib, son of Haji Ghulam Mohiyuddin Sahib, martyring him in the process. Ahmadiyyat first took root in the house of the deceased through his paternal grandfather Mr Allah Baksh sahib of Amritsar. His family moved from Amritsar to Gokhowal, then settled in Rahim Yar Khan.
The family then relocated to Dapur in the district of Sanghar. The deceased was born in 1967 in a small village near the Sanghar district called Ahmadpur. He remained there until his F.A. examinations then moved to Karachi in 1988. Here he opened a medical practice.
He worked as a radiographic technician in a private laboratory alongside working at his clinic in the evenings. He left his job in the laboratory to work full time in his clinic. The deceased possessed many qualities. He had a passion for Tabligh [preaching], even his clinic he would preach to the non-Ahmadis.
The martyred was regular in his five daily prayers in congregation. He had compassion for his fellow beings. He would routinely offer voluntary prayers and was deeply devoted to his prayers. He would offer treatment to the poor free of charge. Some non-Ahmadi patients would say:
“You are a Qadiani and we do not want to take any medication from you, “but we have no choice, our children are cured from your medications. The martyred, with the Grace of Allah, was a Moosi . He was a very active member in Jama’at’s activities.
He had the opportunity to serve in his locality as the collector and as Za’eem Ansaarullah. For the past 18 years he served as the Waqf-e-Nau secretary in his locality. His wife and children have written that from a very young age he encouraged his children to offer their prayers.
He himself was very regular in his five daily prayers and would offer them separately and on time. It was his habit to recite the Holy Quran on a daily basis with translation. He would listen to the Friday sermon regularly and ensure his children heard it as well.
In fact he would make sure that MTA was watched throughout the day and night. To ensure a better upbringing for children, MTA is the best solution. The martyred would always help his neighbours. His wife wrote that last month she saw a dream; “that I was shown two cups of drink.
“I asked what drink contains, because it looks like a special concoction. “I was told that it contains the world’s best drink.” After the martyrdom it became evident that the referred to attaining the station of martyrdom.
Before him, Mr Daud Ahmad, who also lived on the same street, was martyred only a few days back. The two cups could well represent these two martyrdoms. Aside from his wife Mrs Bushra Khaleeq Sahiba, he has brothers and sisters, as well as 2 sons;
Respected Aneeq Ahmad, who is a student of Jamia Ahmadiyya Rabwah, and Raheeq Ahmad, who is a third year PTS student. He also has a sixteen year old daughter called Shumaila Ahmad. May God almighty elevate the status of the deceased. May God grant steadfastness to all his children and relatives
And may his virtuous deeds continue through his children. All praise is due to Allah. We laud Him, we beseech help from Him and ask His protection; we confide in Him, we trust Him alone and we seek protection against the evils and mischief of our souls and from the bad results of our deeds.
Whomsoever He guides on the right path, none can misguide him; and whosoever He declares misled, none can guide him onto the right path. And we bear witness that none deserves to be worshipped except Allah. We bear witness that Muhammad (saw) is His servant and Messenger.
O servants of Allah! May Allah be merciful to you. Verily, Allah commands you to act with justice, to confer benefits upon each other and to do good to others as one does to one’s kindred and forbids evil which pertain to your own selves
And evils which affect others and prohibits revolts against a lawful authority. He warns you against being unmindful. You remember Allah; He too will remember you; call Him and He will make a response to your call. And verily divine remembrance is the highest virtue.
