Friday Sermon – Khalifatul Masih V – Mirza Masroor Ahmad – Year 2017

Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah I bear witness that Muhammad (saw) is the Messenger of Allah. Come to Prayer Come to success

Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. There is none worthy of worship except Allah. Peace be upon you all, I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah He is alone and has no partner

and I bear witness that Muhammad (saw) is His Servant and Messenger After this I seek refuge with Allah from Satan the accursed. In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful. All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds. The Gracious, the Merciful.

Master of the Day of Judgment. Thee alone do we worship and Thee alone do we implore for help. Guide us in the right path The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings, those who have not incurred Thy displeasure,

and those who have not gone astray. Today, the Western press and media say that “Ahmadis speak of the peaceful teachings of Islam, “however, the majority of Muslims do not mention these teachings, in fact, “the majority of Muslims do not consider Ahmadis to be Muslims.

“Ahmadis are really small in number as compared to other Muslims. “When this is the state, then how can Ahmadis make the claim “that they are the ones following the true teachings of Islam?” Recently, during my tour of Germany, this same question was raised.

They then enquire, “how will you be able to convince other Muslims to follow these teachings, “if you believe this to be the true teachings of Islam?” Our answer is always the same.

The evidence for the teachings of Islam that we present can be found in the Holy Qur’an, Hadith and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (saw). These are not mere tales that we have invented to impress others and

to answer their objections when we say that Islam categorically rejects any teachings of extremism. We have not adopted this stance due to the circumstances of today. We prove with clear evidence that the teachings of Islam have always

commanded to fulfil the rights of Allah the Exalted and His creation. As far as the question is concerned that how will we convince other Muslims of this teaching, then the answer to this question is that it was the prophecy of the Holy Prophet (saw) that

when Muslims will go astray, the Promised Messiah will be sent to reform the Muslims and present the true teachings of Islam to the world. So, this prophecy of the Holy Prophet (saw) has been fulfilled in the most majestic manner.

At the time, when Muslims were not following the true teachings of Islam, Allah the Exalted, sent the Promised Messiah and Mahdi [the guided one]. The Promised Messiah (as) made us appreciate the true teachings of Islam and the Holy Qur’an.

He explained to us the wisdom behind every commandment of the Holy Qur’an. We Ahmadi Muslims, who have accepted the Promised Messiah (as), are spreading these clear teachings of Islam to Muslims and non-Muslims alike. Our task is to preach the message like missionaries.

So, we are doing the task of preaching Islam and God-willing, we shall continue to do so. The progress of the Divine communities and the followers of the prophets does not happen in days. These communities spread and progress slowly.

We respond to the Western Media by saying that when you ask us “how will we encourage other Muslims to follow these teachings”, our reply lies in the tens of millions of followers of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community,

a vast majority of whom, joined from other Muslim sects. When people understand this message, the true teachings of Islam becomes evident for them, when they become aware of the claim of the Promised Messiah (as)

and they start to comprehend the directives and the prophecies of the Holy Prophet (saw), then Muslims join our community in vast numbers. People join our community form other religions too. God-willing, one day our minority will turn into a majority.

This is the promise of God and we see it being fulfilled each day. Every year, hundreds of thousands of people join the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and a vast majority of them are from Muslim backgrounds.

Though our resources are limited and despite only having a small number of missionaries, Allah the Exalted is granting us astonishing results. Indeed, many people, who join the community, Allah the Exalted guides them personally.

Many of them were introduced to the community as well as the Promised Messiah (as) through true dreams and consequently, they recognised the truthfulness of his claim. Then after a while, for some reason they think about their dreams..

sometimes it happens that they see dreams in their childhood or in their youth. Then, after a while, or for some reason they recall that particular dream and this prompts them to take Bai’at [oath of allegiance]. Some people know about the community,

then perform the Istikhara [a special prayer for guidance] and then with the guidance of Allah the Exalted, they join this community. Some listen to preaching endeavours undertaken by our missionaries, teachers and dedicated preachers as well as our radio and television.

Listening to this message reveals the truth to them by the grace of Allah the Exalted. Some accept Ahmadiyyat by witnessing the animosity of the opponents of the community and their ill-fated demise. Some are shown signs by God Almighty.

When God Almighty vouchsafed to the Promised Messiah (as) that “I will grant you honour and will grant you progress” in 1883, at that time, there was no formal community. Rather at the time, he had not even made the claim.

Only a very small number of people, rather one should say a nominal number of people knew him. God the Almighty has stated in the Holy Qur’an: [Arabic] “Allah has decreed that He and His Messengers will always be victorious.”

At that time, he has not even claimed to be a Messiah or Mahdi. Then God Almighty said to him that there is no one who can overturn the words of God. There are many divine revelations regarding the progress

and the development of the community of the Promised Messiah (as). God Almighty has said “I will grant you progress and I will expand the community of people who love you.” Therefore, today, the community of that one person, who was given this promise,

has spread to the entire world. His community is increasing day by day and new people are joining the community with each day that passes. I will present some examples of how God Almighty opens the way for them and guides those people who join this community.

These are some incidents of people, who joined Ahmadiyyat based on their dreams. Our Missionary In charge from Kazan writes: “We established contact with Safi Loif sahib through preaching. “We would exchange question and answers.

After some time, he performed Bai’at.” Explaining the incident of taking Bai’at, he says, “God Almighty showed me a dream that I was in Syria and two groups were fighting each other. During this fight, a third group joined them.

This group tried to make them understand that they are committing atrocities by killing each other. The people of the third group advised them to stop fighting and extend the hand of peace to each other.

Then these two groups threw away their weapons at the counselling of the third group and embraced each other”. The [aforementioned] Russian friend continues “I then asked someone who is this third group who has made peace between these two rival groups?

I was told that these are the members of our Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.” He also mentioned that in his second dream ‘God Almighty showed me that the weather was very pleasant and a gentle drizzle was about to fall,

cool breeze was blowing and he heard a voice that ‘Ahmadiyyat it is the true faith’.” He says that after these dreams he performed Bai’at. A lady, Malikah Sahiba from France, explains her incidence of accepting Ahmadiyyat by saying

“All of my family was familiar with the message of Ahmadiyyat. We used to discuss in our home that such and such person has been granted guidance by God Almighty through a dream and they have joined the community.

I used to hear all this but never commented on it.” She says: “One day I prayed to God Almighty, to guide me whether Ahmadiyyat is the true path or not.” She says that “in the subsequent three nights, God Almighty showed me three consecutive dreams.

In my first dream, I saw that it appears as if it was doomsday and there is unrest everywhere. My sisters and brothers who have accepted Ahmadiyyat, were not stressed at all but quite calm and happy.

On the other hand I was constantly screaming that this is a very dangerous situation. They did not appear to be worried at all and said that they are going to a meeting of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

In my dream, in this state of intense fear, I clung on to them. Then I saw in one of my dreams that my sister who has accepted Ahmadiyyat was saying to me that ‘offer your Salat. This is the right path.’

Similarly, on the third night, I saw in my dream that I am sitting with my sisters and brothers and I feel as if God Almighty has written something on my hand.” Hence, she says that after these dreams I was granted satisfaction that

these dreams relate to the truthfulness of this community and I took Bai’at and now all her family has accepted Ahmadiyyat. Abdul Aziz Traore Sahib, who has the opportunity to serve the community in the Shapo village of Ivory Coast, says:

“One of the elders of the village, Waamaar Traore sahib, saw in a dream that some Arabs came to visit their village. In the dream he heard people say that these are not true Arabs and they should stay away from them.”

He says: “during this dream, I heard a voice saying that if you seek God, then you will find God through these people. He says that “a few days after that some Ahmadi missionaries came to our village,

at this some villagers start to say that they are not true Muslims, the villagers knew that they were Ahmadi missionaries. The villagers said that they are not Muslim and you should stay away from them.” This is indeed the edict of the Muslim clerics against us.

When the elder of the village saw all this, he recalled his dream and after a short while, he accepted Ahmadiyyat by taking Bai’at. He attended the Jalsa Salana Ivory Coast with a great vigour and commitment. Bashir Sakla sahib from Brazzaville, Congo, writes:

“I attended the first Jalsa Salana in 2014, the Jalsa of their country, and “there I learned that that Jesus (as) had passed away and he will not descend from the heavens. “I also learnt that the Holy Prophet (saw) has prophesied that there will come a time when

“Muslims will be divided into several sects and what will be left will be the name of Islam only. “At that time, the advent of the Promised Messiah (as) will take place “and only his community will be on the path of guidance.”

He says that “after this I started to study the literature and “the books of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, “which made me appreciate the truthfulness of Ahmadiyyat. “During this period, one night, I saw in my dream that

“a man has given me a very colourful outfit in pink and white which was very beautiful. “Then, I saw a dream during the month of Ramadan that I was travelling in a luxury bus.

“This dream granted me satisfaction as the bus is a means of undertaking a journey, “therefore the journey that I was to undertake was one of grandeur and majesty. “After this dream I accepted Ahmadiyyat.” A new convert from the Jama’at of Kyrgyzstan, Ashlan Ramil Sahib,

narrates the story of his acceptance of Ahmadiyyat. He says that “I was born into a Muslim family. “Therefore, the religion of Islam was not alien to me. “However, I never reflected on the purpose and need for religion.

“I met the Sadr of the Jama’at of Kyrgyzstan at my work place. “We continued to discuss various topics. When we discussed religion, “I slowly and gradually began to understand the truth of Islam.

“I became aware of the fact that the Muslims of the current era are not practicing the true Islam. “After talking to him, I began to find answers to my questions, “which were presented to me through Qur’anic references,

“the practical traditions of the Holy Prophet (saw), authentic books of Ahadeeth, “books of the Promised Messiah (as) and various sermons of mine.” He says that “I started to look into this. “Through this, I began to read the Holy Qur’an for the first time.”

He says that “following this, I one day decided to do Bai’at [pledge initiation]. “The very same night, I saw in a dream that the friend of my father “pointed into a certain direction and said to me that there is a sign over there.

“However, do not tell anyone about this sign as terrorists will come and destroy it. “Hence, I went over to look at the sign. “It was a vast garden in which butterfly like creatures were flying around.

“Hence, I began to think of how we can conceal this sign of Allah the Exalted. “Meanwhile, I begin flying like a bird in the dream.” He says that “I flew to the house of the friends of my father.

“They are drinking tea and when they see me, they consider me to be merely a bird. “However, I say ‘Allahu Akbar’ to them three times, “upon which they become frightened as to how this bird is able to speak.”

He says that “I then fly towards the sky and as I do so I turn into an angel. “I then look towards the ground and find that everyone has died and no one is alive.” He says that “I then fly to my house.

“Following that, within the dream, I wake up whilst I am entering the house.” He says that “following the dream I decided that “Allah the Exalted bestowed me with this spiritual strength. “Hence, I performed the Bai’at after this and entered the Ahmadiyya Jama’at.”

‘Abd-ul-Hadi Sahib from Egypt says that “quite some time prior to finding out about Ahmadiyyat, “I saw in a dream that I am treading on a deserted and abandoned path towards an unknown destination. “Meanwhile, a pious person approaches me and diverts me onto another path.

“The strange thing is that without showing any resistance, “I happily begin treading on that path, which the pious man diverted me on. “The reason for this is that his compassionate conduct made me feel

“as if he saved me from misfortune and diverted me onto a path of fortune and many blessings. “After treading on this path for a while and reaching an elevated place, “I turn towards the other path upon which I see a tyrant forcefully acquiring labour from people.

“Seeing this, I begin to think that if the pious man had not diverted me from this path, “today I would also be a victim of this very cruelty as various other people are. “In the dream this thought enters my mind that

“perhaps this pious person was God’s prophet Moses (as).” He says that “after quite some time, I came to know of the Jama’at “and I understood that the path upon which I was treading lead towards ruin and destruction.

“Furthermore, [I also understood that] the pious man, who diverted me from this path onto a new one “was the Promised Messiah (as) and this new path was that of Ahmadiyyat i.e. the true Islam.” Thus, these are some examples which I have presented.

One of them is from Kazan, Kyrgyzstan, the former republic of Russia, a European country, Western Africa, central Africa and yet another from an Arab country. They are people of different nations and different tongues, however, they are all being guided in the same manner.

Who is doing this? It is most certainly Allah the Exalted, Who is providing this guidance for them, Who told the Promised Messiah (as) that I will increase the party of your sincere and devoted loved ones.

Then, an Ahmadi from Morroco, Shakur Sahib, narrates the story of his Bai’at. He writes that “in the initial few days of being introduced to the Jama’at, “when I regularly used to watch Liqa’ Ma’al ‘Arab,

“I saw in a vision that Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih IV (rh) was walking along a path, “leading towards the peak of a mountain. He is wearing a white, Pakistani dress. He says that “I follow Huzoor and almost reach the peak of the mountain.

“From there, we see a bright light emerging from behind the mountain, “which spreads over the horizon. It appears as if it is the brightness of dawn.” He says that “I become somewhat frightened and my pace slows down.

“Noticing this Huzoor, Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih IV (rh) turns around and looks at me. “Seeing his illuminated face, an astonishing and overwhelming state overtakes me “and I say that ‘I do not know what lies behind this mountain, which is radiating such a light.’

“Upon this, Huzoor smiles and says, ‘Continue to follow me and do not be afraid!’ He states: “Praise be to Allah! Despite the fear and dangers, according to that vision, “while watching liqaa ma’al ‘arab, “I continued walking behind Huzoor until the station of accepting Ahmadiyyat arrived.”

He further states: “Although, I had resolved to undertake the Bai’at, immediately upon becoming aware of Ahmadiyyat “and had even repeated the words of Bai’at “while participating in the international Bai’at ceremony through MTA, “I was not content at heart

“because the words of Bai’at were in English, which I did not understand at all. “I was not satisfied with performing the Bai’at in that manner. “Nevertheless, the true Bai’at, in my opinion, “is to believe in the truthfulness of the Promised Messiah (as)

“and to endeavour to act upon the conditions of Bai’at and I was already adhering to them. “Later, when contact was established with the Community, “Allah the Almighty also enabled my wife to accept the truth. “Then, in the beginning of 2010, both of us

“formally performed Bai’at by sending our Bai’at forms.” Then, Dr Hijaz Kareem Sahib from Algeria, who has written about the episode of his Bai’at. He is also a member of the local amila, working in the capacity of general secretary.

He was imprisoned for his faith until recently, due the prevailing circumstances. He is still going through difficult circumstances. May Allah ease his hardships. He states: “I had become completely disappointed by the distorted teaching “and the false interpretations of the Holy Qur’an.

“Listening to the explanations given by the clerics, I would contemplate “whether this was even the Word of God “until I became aware of Ahmadiyyat and the writings of the Founder of the Community. “Before reading the exegesis by the Promised Messiah (as),

“I offered nawafil and prayed that may Allah the Almighty guide me to the right path. “As I continued reading, I became increasingly acquiescent, “my body began trembling under the awe of the words

“and I became convinced that these were not the words of a human rather it was God’s revelation. “However, I performed istikharah prayer before performing the bai’at, “upon which, I saw in a dream that I was passing through a town at night with my friends

“and a light was travelling alongside us. “In the midst of that, the phone rang and as I looked at the phone, “I saw that it was displaying the phone number of the Imam Mahdi (as). “I decided in my heart to call him back;

“if he did not answer the call, he would be a true prophet, otherwise not. “I do not know why, during the dream, I thought that prophets do not answer calls.

“Thus, I called him. The phone kept ringing for a long time but he did not pick up the phone. “Then, he made an awe-inspiring manifestation. “I began reciting verses of the Holy Qur’an and auzubillah

“so that Satan does not obscure the matter of the Mahdi for me. “After this, I woke up due to intense fear. It was fajr time. I was certain that the dream was true. “Then I performed Bai’at.”

How are signs manifested for people and eventually become means of Bai’at for them! The missionary in charge in Senegal wrote about an incident in this regard. He states: “Ahmadiyyat was established in three villages of the Casamance region of Senegal.

“Upon witnessing the progress of Jama’at in those villages, the anti-Ahmadiyya clerics, “along with the [villages’] chief, decided to pray against the Jama’at. “They used to recite the Holy Qur’an and then beat the floor with their hands (they were all muslims)

“and say, ‘may Allah the Almighty destroy the Jama’at and their missionary.’ “However, Allah the Almighty took action in this way that just a few days after their imprecation “their chief imam was stung by a snake.

“All the imams convened and prayed again that may Allah the Almighty save the imam. “However, that imam of theirs, who was the chief imam, died having vomited blood. “Then, a few days later, the imam who participated in the imprecation against Jama’at,

“was also stung by a snake. “The clerics also tried to save him through collective prayers, but were not able to save him. “Upon witnessing this, the people became frightened and they themselves began saying that “this is happening as a consequence to the imprecation

“against the Ahmadiyya community and their missionaries. “However, the clerics started saying that it was not Allah, who is doing all this, “rather demons has unleashed a snake who was killing people.” He further states:

“Only a few days has passed, that the [villages’] vice-chief was also stung by a snake “and after going through the same ordeal, he too died. “After that, the people approached our missionary “and our missionary was not aware that these people had prayed against the Jama’at.

“The villages themselves narrated the entire incident to him “and said: ‘Save us for our own imprecation has plagued us. Do something for us!’ “Thus, the missionary went to their village and “told them about this challenge of the Promised Messiah (as)

“that God will turn people’s curses against them and He will grant progress to the Jama’at. “Now, by the Grace of Allah, more than 700 people from, all the three villages, “after performing Bai’at, have come into the fold of Ahmadiyyat.”

Sometimes opponents themselves open the door for righteous people to discovering the truth. A Mualim [religious teacher] from the Goromu Region of Burkina Faso relates: “From our Goromu Jamaat a Wahabi Imam’s son participated in a Tabligh session.

“He observed that a Maulvi [Muslim cleric] who had a PhD, “would defame the Promised Messiah (as) rather than present any arguments. “This had a huge impact on this boy “and led him to starting to research about the Ahmadiyya Community.

“He regularly listened to radio shows in which the Community’s message was being propagated. “One day he asked his father, who is a Wahabi Imam, about the Community. “His father replied that ‘Ahmadis are not Muslims and so stay completely away from them.’

“However he continued to regularly listen to the radio. “He eventually got in contact with our Mualim “and did Bai’at and entered into the Ahmadiyya Community. “The father, after discovering this about his son,

“hurled verbal abuse at him and threw him out of the house. “A few days later he received a phone call from his mother “who said, ‘since you left the peace of the home has been completely shattered. Come back,

” ‘and reconcile with your father.’ When he returned on the beckoning of his mother, “he saw that his father had gathered the whole village together, “and his father said ‘this is not my son, rather he is a disbeliever.’

“In African tradition it is considered extremely bad for the father to be angry. “Thus the new Ahmadi son became very worried and started to pray. “One day he saw in a dream that a person says to him: ‘remain steadfast upon Ahmadiyyat if you desire salvation.’

“This dream infused greater resolve in him and he said to his father, ‘do whatever you please, however now I cannot leave Ahmadiyyat.’ ” Thus when Allah the Almighty entrenches Ahmadiyyat in the hearts of those

who are living even thousands of miles away, He also grants them steadfastness. Where through Islam’s true teachings, Allah the Almighty has on the one hand established a group of ardent devotees of the Promised Messiah (as),

there on the other, he has also fostered mutual love in their hearts for one another. Citing this mutual affection, Ameer Sahib Benin relates: “There is a town in the Parako region called Kalai. “It is 114km from Parako and is reached by mud and dirt paths

“and is situated right in the wilderness. “We went to this village last year and people took the Bai’at [oath of allegiance]. “This year a Jalsa was held in this village under the shade of trees. “New Ahmadis from surrounding areas were also invited.

“When a delegation from the centre arrived after a long and arduous journey, “the people of the village raised slogans and gave them such a rapturous welcome, “that all our exhaustion from the journey completely disappeared “upon witnessing the devotion of the village people.

“A local President who is new Ahmadi there of Makara expressing his sentiments said ‘people, this is the true path which has given us a new life. ‘This is the true Islam which taught us love and affection.

‘The non-Ahmadi Imams created discord amongst us and tried to eliminate our mutual love, ‘however Ahmadiyyat has united us all.’ “Another local President of Doro, who is also a new Ahmadi said, ‘Ahmadiyyat alone taught us the true Islam.

‘Nobody differentiated between us when we went for the Jalsa. ‘All people, whether from a village or the city, were gathered in the same place. ‘Nobody quarrelled or fought one another. ‘Ahmadiyyat gave us proper understanding of the religion

‘and with the Grace of Allah, we have now started to perform the prayers.’ “Another new Ahmadi said, ‘we are thankful to Ahmadiyiyat ‘that it transformed us people of the wilderness into humans. ‘Here previously sons would not even greet their fathers,

‘but the Ahmadi Mualimeen [religious teachers] and missionaries trained us in such a manner ‘that we now can hear “Salaam” being conveyed in all directions.’ ” Observe how Allah the Almighty gives steadfast faith to righteous people who accept Ahmadiyyat from among Muslims and non-Muslims.

The Ameer [National President] of Sierra Leone writes: “In the Bo Region of Sierra Leone is a Jamaat, Seilo, “where a new Ahmadi community was established in the past year. “However the local Imam had not yet taken the Bai’at [oath of allegiance].

“When a short while ago the Imam announced he was entering the Ahmadiyya Community, “some mischievous people arrived aiming to create discord and strife. “They said to the Imam ‘as this mosque that you are Imam of belongs to the Malikiyya sect,

‘you should either forsake Ahmadiyyat or otherwise give up being the Imam of the mosque.’ “The Imam replied ‘I accepted Ahmadiyyat after a long period of personal research and study. ‘As I am an Imam and therefore have better understanding on these matters than you do,

‘I can tell you that Ahmadiyyat is the true Islam. ‘I hand over the Imamat [leadership] of this mosque to you, ‘however it is impossible for me to give up Ahmadiyyat.’ ”

And so there are Imams and Muslim scholars who have been given the insight and comprehension by Allah the Almighty to properly understand. In contrast there are the Muslim scholars of Pakistan who are only concerned with their own interests and filling their stomachs.

A local Muallim from Benin, Taufeeq Sahib, writes: “An acquaintance, Bamaisoor Kareem Sahib, “was enabled to convert from Christianity and accept Ahmadiyyat. “He invited us to his village, Haitee, to preach there

“saying ‘even if no one accepts Ahmadiyyat and no matter how much opposition I face, ‘I am an Ahmadi and will remain one and will continue to preach alone.’ ” This is the passion for preaching in new Ahmadis

which Ahmadis of old should also derive lesson from. [The narrator of the account continues] “when we went to his village to propagate the message, “we were enabled to have 20 people take Bai’at [oath of allegiance]. “Sometime later a student from Jamia Ahmadiyyat Nigeria

“was sent to this same area for Tarbiyyat [moral and spiritual training] “which led to a further 100 people accepting Ahmadiyyat. “Observing the growth of Ahmadiyyat there “the local Imam of the mosque started opposition to Ahmadiyyat.

“On a daily basis he delivered sermons against the Community. “However the Ahmadis remained steadfast and the first Ahmadi of the village, “Baimaisura Kareem Sahib said: ‘Until the Ahmadiyya Community find a place ‘to build a mosque in this village, my house is available for this purpose.’

“With the Grace of Allah Ahmadis offered their Friday and Eid prayers there. “The Imam saw how Ahmadiyyat was progressing every day “and so went to Baimaisura Kareem Sahib’s house and called him a disbeliever.

“Kareem Sahib replied ‘when I was a Christian none of you conveyed the message of Islam to me. ‘Now I have become a Muslim as a result of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, ‘you have started to call me an infidel.

‘I am an Ahmadi and I will die an Ahmadi.’ “Thus the Mauvli [cleric] had to leave from there, humiliated.” Kareem Sahib, with the Grace of Allah, is an active Daeenilallah [one who invites people to Allah]. He very enthusiastically carries out preaching.

Despite the opposition from the Imam of the mosque, he propagates the message with great passion and zeal and has become a means for new Bai’ats [people to accept Ahmadiyyat]. One of the local Mu’alims of Burkina Faso, Konatay Abdul Hayee sahib says

“A new convert whose name is Jiyalo Ibrahim states “that he would drink a lot even after accepting Islam. “He would drink so much that people would consider him a madman and no one would approach him.

“One day he fell sick and no one came to even visit him. “He started to listen to the Ahmadiyya Radio and after a while, Allah Almighty guided him. “He entered the Jama’at and stopped drinking. However, after some time he fell ill again

“and this time it was so severe that he thought that his death was imminent. “Consequently he prayed that ‘O Allah! If the Imam Mahdi, whose bait I have taken is truthful ‘then extend my life through thy Grace.’ Allah the Almighty heard his prayer.”

He further narrates that “not only did Allah Almighty cure his ailment “rather He also restored his health to the extent that he was able to attend the Jalsa afterwards.” He states that “this is all due to the blessings of accepting the Imam Mahdi.

“He is alive today only because of accepting the truth.” An acquaintance from Ivory Coast, Demayla sahib narrates the incident of his acceptance of Ahmadiyyat. He says “I used to worship idols but one day I saw in a dream

“that an old lady gives me a water pot and a prayer rug and says ‘You should offer salat’. “Therefore, I began to offer salat in a non-Ahmadi mosque “but even then my attention was towards idol worshiping.

“I saw that dream again after a few days and she told me again that I should offer salat.” He says “I became perplexed regarding this matter as I had already started to pray.

“So what could this dream mean? So I narrated this dream to my brother who was an Ahmadi. “He said ‘The interpretation of this dream is that you should accept Ahmadiyyat.’ “Therefore, I took his advice and contacted a missionary of the Jama’at

“and took the Bai’at after doing some research. “Before taking the Bai’at, I would offer my prayers “but despite that my heart was focused towards idol worshiping. “Yet it was due to the blessings of accepting Ahmadiyyat that I was relieved of this thought.

“I was bestowed with the blessings of offering Salat sincerely “and finding the true God after accepting Ahmadiyyat.” Hence these are stories of the new converts that serve as a lesson for the old Ahmadis. A missionary from Kazan writes that on June 2014, Fareed Ibrahim sahib,

who is a member of the Kazan Jama’at, hung a photo of the Promised Messiah (as) in his shop and wrote underneath it in Russian that “this is the long-awaited Imam Mahdi who has appeared”, along with that he also wrote the Jama’at website link.

His shop is located in the main market area and approximately 10,000 people walk past it daily and through this they contact the Jama’at. This opens up new ways of tabligh and this is one of the ways people have found to do tabligh.

Some Ahamdis were visiting Kazan a few days ago for business. I believe they took a photo of the same place and shared it with me. It is a photo of a shop where a large picture of the Promised Messiah (as) is hanging.

The person who sent me this photo says that “I was just standing there looking at this photo “when a two non-Ahmadi Pakistanis stopped by and started looking at it.

“One of them said to the other one ‘It seems like this is the photo of Mirza sahib of Qadian.’ “A woman who was in the shop at the time heard this and whilst pointing at this photo said ‘This is the Imam Mahdi (as) who has appeared’.”

“He says that I only heard this then left.” So this is how people find new ways of doing tabligh. Ameer sahib of Burkina Faso writes: “One of our members, Pareh Idrees sahib, who is a new convert said:

‘Having taking the oath of allegiance one day I saw in a dream that ‘my state before was covered in darkness and my present state is one that is full of light.’ “He continues by saying: ‘After this I woke up from the dream.’

“Prior to accepting Ahmadiyyat, the aforementioned gentleman was a Wahabi. “After this dream he began telling his friends that “today, if they wish to search for the [true] light then that can only be found in Ahmadiyyat,

“because in Ahmadiyyat there exists the institution of Khilafat [Caliphate] and “only through Khilafat will we succeed.” By the Grace of Allah Mr Pareh Sahib has become a regular preacher in the way of Allah and carries out great endeavours in the field of Tabligh.

Thus, God Almighty is slowly bringing people towards the true teachings of Islam and God Willing, through the Promised Messiah (as), the true message of Ahmadiyyat will prevail all over the world. May Allah enable every one of us to partake of these blessings

by constantly inviting others towards the path of God. After the prayers I will lead two funeral prayers in absentia. The first is of Mrs Khurshid Ruqayya Sahiba, who was the wife of Maulvi Manzoor Ahmad Sahib Ganokhe, one of the Dervish of Qadian.

Due to the will of God she passed away on 1st September, the day of Hajj-e-Akbar. “To Allah we belong and to Him shall we return.” She was the maternal great granddaughter of Mirza Kabir-ud-Din Sahib, who was a companion of the Promised Messiah (as).

Her husband was a local missionary and they were married in 1956. She assisted her husband through every difficult and austere times. She lived her life with the utmost steadfastness and gratefulness. The deceased was regular in her five daily prayers,

as well as the Tahajjud [pre-dawn voluntary]. She regularly offered prayers and was very hospitable. She was an ardent devotee of Khilafat and would always look after those in need. Furthermore, she was a pious lady.

She would regularly watch my sermons on MTA and would encourage her children to do the same. For an extensive period of time she suffered an ailment. Despite the Jamaat offering support for her treatment she refused to accept it

and even until her final days, she requested her children to arrange for her treatment themselves as far as possible. The deceased was a Moosia [part of the institution of Al-Wasiyyat]. She is survived by two sons and two daughters.

One of her son-in-laws who is currently living in France is originally from Morocco. May Allah the Almighty elevate the status of the deceased and enable her children to continue her good deeds. The second funeral is of Dr Salahuddin Sahib who resided in New Jersey, USA.

He was the son of Maulvi Imam-ud-Din Sahib, the missionary of Indonesia. He passed away on 10th September 2017 after suffering a heart attack. “To Allah we belong and to Him shall we return.” The deceased completed his PhD in the field of science from New Jersey.

In the holidays he would often visit London. In the time of Khalifatul Masih IV (rh) he would visit frequently and aside from the PS [Private Secretary] office, he also worked as part of the Security Staff. Whether it was office work or his security duty,

he always completed his duties with full responsibility. He had such noble qualities that would attract people towards him and made him popular amongst the people. He had a tall stature as well as being well equipped with knowledge and wisdom.

He had gained a PhD and was well informed in his subject matter. Aside from this he was well versed in other matters as well. Despite these qualities he had a very humble and meek nature.

He had the quality of being able to hold a conversation with people from all walks of life. As I mentioned earlier, during the Caliphate of Hazrat Khalifatul Masih IV (rh) he had the opportunity to serve in the PS office for lengthy period of time,

after which he served actively as part of the security staff. Ameer sahib of USA has written about him saying: “Dr Salahuddin Sahib was a member of the New Jersey Jama’at. “For many decades now he has been overseeing the volunteers

“of the Langar Khana [food preparations] team at the Jalsa Salana. “His selfless and tireless efforts during the Jalsa Salana were an example for us all. “Rather than displaying his efforts openly “he would be ever ready to serve the guests of the Promised Messiah (as)

“and would do so with great passion and devotion. “He would say that he does not require any position, “he would be happy to serve in any capacity that is required.” He had an extremely loyal relationship with Khilafat.

I knew him from from Rabwah from my childhood and even after my Khilafat, I saw that he maintained a special relationship of loyalty, which was a relationship of love and affection for Khilafat. May Allah the Almighty elevate his status. He never married,

thus, may Allah grant steadfastness to his sisters and may Allah enable his virtues to continue on in the progeny of Maulvi Imam-ud-Din Sahib. All praise is due to Allah. We laud Him, we beseech help from Him and ask His protection;

we confide in Him, we trust Him alone and we seek protection against the evils and mischief of our souls and from the bad results of our deeds. Whomsoever He guides on the right path, none can misguide him;

and whosoever He declares misled, none can guide him onto the right path. And we bear witness that none deserves to be worshipped except Allah. We bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. O servants of Allah! May Allah be merciful to you.

Verily, Allah commands you to act with justice, to confer benefits upon each other and to do good to others as one does to one ‘s kindred and forbids evil which pertain to your own selves

and evils which affect others and prohibits revolts against a lawful authority. He warns you against being unmindful. You remember Allah; He too will remember you; call Him and He will make a response to your call. And verily divine remembrance is the highest virtue.
